Elastic diffraction scattering of π − , K − and p on protons has been measured at 25 and 40 GeV/c at the Serpukhov Proton Accelerator. Differential elastic cross sections and diffraction slopes are presented in the momentum-transfer interval 0.07–0.80 (GeV/ c ) 2 and compared with existing data at lower energies.

Measurement of proton and neutron electromagnetic form-factors at squared four momentum transfers up to 3-GeV/c$^2$

Bartel, W. ; Busser, F.W. ; Dix, W.r. ; et al.
Nucl.Phys.B 58 (1973) 429-475, 1973.
Inspire Record 83685 DOI 10.17182/hepdata.69173

Electron-proton elastic scattering cross sections have been measured at squared four-momentum transfers q 2 of 0.67, 1.00, 1.17, 1.50, 1.75, 2.33 and 3.00 (GeV/ c ) 2 and Electron scattering angles θ e between 10° and 20° and at about 86° in the laboratory. The proton electromagnetic form factors G E p and G M p were determined. The results indicate that G E p ( q 2 ) decreases faster with increasing q 2 than G M p ( q 2 ). Quasi-elastic electron-deuteron cross sections have been determined at values of q 2 = 0.39, 0.565, 0.78, 1.0 and 1.5 (GeV/ c ) 2 and scattering angles between 10° and 12°. At q 2 = 0.565 (GeV/ c 2 data have also been taken with θ e = 35° and at q 2 = 1.0 and 1.5 (GeV/ c ) 2 with θ e = 86°. Electron-proton as well as electron-neutron scattering cross sections have been deduced by the ratio method. The theoretical uncertainties of this procedure are shown to be small by comparison of the bound with the free proton cross sections. The magnetic form factor of the neutron G M n derived from the data is consistent with the scaling law. The charge form factor of the neutron is found to be small.

Measurements of the polarization parameter in pi+- p elastic scattering between 2.50 and 5.15 gev/c

Scheid, J.A. ; Booth, N.E. ; Conforto, G. ; et al.
Phys.Rev.D 8 (1973) 1263-1277, 1973.
Inspire Record 81836 DOI 10.17182/hepdata.3516

The polarization parameter in π±p elastic scattering has been measured at several momenta in the range 2.50-5.15 GeV/c pion laboratory momentum and covering the range in t approximately from -0.2 to -2.0(GeV/c)2. The data show positive polarization for π±p scattering, having a dip near t=−0.6 (GeV/c)2 and becoming relatively large at greater values of −t. The results for π+ and π− scattering are approximately equal in magnitude but of opposite sign. The data have been analyzed to separate the components, which are symmetric and antisymmetric with respect to pion charge, and to show both the t and s dependence of each part.

Polarization in backward elastic pi+ p scattering at 2.0, 3.5 and 4.0 gev/c

Bradamante, F. ; Conetti, S. ; Daum, C. ; et al.
Nucl.Phys.B 56 (1973) 356-380, 1973.
Inspire Record 84069 DOI 10.17182/hepdata.6773

Data on polarization in backward elastic π + p scattering at 2.0, 3.5 and 4.0 GeV/ c are presented. The data at 2.0 GeV/ c are compared with the result of a recent phase-shift analysis. Our data at 3.5 and 4.0 GeV/ c , and existing data above 3 GeV/ c , show no significant energy dependence of the polarization over the measured u -range. A comparison with Regge models and with results from amplitude analysis is made.

Pi- production with linearly polarized photons at 3.4 gev

Burfeindt, H. ; Buschhorn, G. ; Geweniger, C. ; et al.
Nucl.Phys.B 59 (1973) 87-92, 1973.
Inspire Record 83969 DOI 10.17182/hepdata.8010

The asymmetry of the reaction γ d π − p ( p S ) with linearly polarized photons has been measured at 3.4 GeV and momentum transfers √− t between 0.2 and 0.8 GeV/ c . As in π + production, the asymmetry is large and positive at small momentum transfers but drops rapidly with increasing √− t , crossing zero around √− t = 0.55 GeV/ c .

Cross sections of common final states for K- p interactions at 8.25-GeV/c

The Athens-Democritus-Liverpool-Vienna collaboration Fry, J.R. ; Brankin, C. ; Matthews, R. ; et al.
Nucl.Phys.B 58 (1973) 408-419, 1973.
Inspire Record 83983 DOI 10.17182/hepdata.8005

Topological and channel cross sections are given for the more common final states produced in K − p interactions at 8.25 GeV/ c together with the single particle inclusive cross sections. We present cross sections for prominent resonances occurring in final states K N (nπ) and find the resonance fractions to be roughly independent of multiplicity.

Phys.Lett.B 46 (1973) 471-476, 1973.
Inspire Record 83673 DOI 10.17182/hepdata.28041

Invariant cross-sections are presented for the inclusive reaction p + p → π o + anything, Measurements of large transverse momentum π o 's (2.5 GeV/ c < p ⊥ <9 GeV/ c ) were made near 90° at the CERN ISR at five centre-of-mass energies (√ s = 23.5, 30.6, 44.8, 52.7 and 62.4 GeV. At large p ⊥ , the invariant cross-sections are seem to vary with s and p ⊥ , in good agreement with a fit of the form Ap ⊥ − n F ( p ⊥ /√ s ), with n ≈8 and F ( p ⊥ /√ s )≈ exp (−26 p ⊥ /√ s ).

Measurement of the polarization parameter in pi- p elastic scattering at 40 gev/c

The Saclay-Serpukhov-Dubna-Moscow collaboration Bruneton, C. ; Bystricky, J. ; Cozzika, G. ; et al.
Phys.Lett.B 44 (1973) 471-473, 1973.
Inspire Record 84826 DOI 10.17182/hepdata.28096

We report our first measurements of the polarization in the elastic scattering of negative pions from polarized protons at an incident pion momentum of 40 GeV/ c . The momentum-transfer region covered was 0.08 < | t | < 1.3 (GeV/ c ) 2 . The angular distribution of the polarization exhibits a first minimum of ∼ − 5% and the well-known zero around t ≈ − 0.6 (GeV/ c ) 2 . The energy variation of the first minimum (at around t = − 0.2) may be expressed in a simple form, P avr = −(0.48±0.06) s −0.52±0.05 .
