Inclusive Hadron Production in $e^+ e^-$ Annihilation at $\left\langle s\right\ranlge = 53$-{GeV}$^2$

Aschman, D. ; Coyne, D.G. ; Groom, Donald E. ; et al.
Phys.Rev.Lett. 41 (1978) 445, 1978.
Inspire Record 130231 DOI 10.17182/hepdata.20818

We report on inclusive hadron production in e+e− annihilation at 〈s〉=53 GeV2, using a small solid-angle magnetic spectrometer with good particle identification at 90° to the beams at SPEAR II. The cross sections of π± and K± when compared with data at s=23 GeV2 exhibit scaling in (sβ)dσdx with x=2Es12. The invariant cross section depends on the momentum as p−4.

Neutral Pion Production in $K^+ p$ Interactions at 32-{GeV}

The French-Soviet & CERN-Soviet collaborations Azhinenko, I.V. ; Belokopytov, Yu.A. ; Borovikov, A.A. ; et al.
Nucl.Phys.B 162 (1980) 61-78, 1980.
Inspire Record 131232 DOI 10.17182/hepdata.8076

Inclusive and semi-inclusive distributions of γ's and π 0 's in the reactions K + p → γ + X and K + p → π 0 + X at 32 GeV/ c are presented and discussed. When compared to the inclusive π − production, the π 0 cross section is found to be significantly higher in low | x | and p T regions. The data are compared with other experiments and quark fusion model predictions.

The Real Part of the p-p and p-d Forward Scattering Amplitudes from 50 GeV to 400 GeV

Jenkins, E. ; Kuznetsov, A. ; Morozov, B. ; et al.
Phys.Rev.Lett. 41 (1978) 217, 1978.
Inspire Record 130086 DOI 10.17182/hepdata.11248

Proton-proton and proton-deuteron elastic scattering has been measured for incident laboratory energy from 50 to 400 GeV; minimum |t| values were, for p−p, 0.0005 (GeV/c)2, and for p−d, 0.0008 (GeV/c)2. From the differential cross sections we have determined the ratios of the real to imaginary parts of the forward scattering amplitude, ρpp and ρpd, for p−p and p−d scattering. Using a Glauber approach and a sum-of-exponentials form factor we obtain ρpn for p−n scattering.

Total Cross-section for Hadron Production by $e^+ e^-$ Annihilation at Center-of-mass Energies Between 3.6-{GeV} and 5.2-{GeV}

The DASP collaboration Brandelik, R. ; Braunschweig, W. ; Martyn, H.U. ; et al.
Phys.Lett.B 76 (1978) 361, 1978.
Inspire Record 129715 DOI 10.17182/hepdata.27431

The total cross section for e + e − annihilation into hadronic final states between 3.6 and 5.2 GeV was measured by the nonmagnetic inner detector of DASP, which has similar trigger and detection efficiencies for photons and charged particles. The measured difference in R = σ had / σμμ between 3.6 GeV and 5.2 GeV is ΔR = 2.1 ± 0.3. We observe three peaks at cm energies of 4.04, 4.16 and 4.417 GeV, the parameters of which, when interpreted as resonances, are given.

INVARIANT CROSS-SECTIONS FOR THE INCLUSIVE REACTIONS anti-p p ---> pi+ X AND anti-p p ---> p X AT 22.4-GeV/c

The Alma Ata-Dubna-Helsinki-Moscow-Prague collaboration Boos, E.G. ; Ermilova, D.I. ; Samoilov, V.V. ; et al.
Nuovo Cim.A 47 (1978) 377, 1978.
Inspire Record 130221 DOI 10.17182/hepdata.37561

Invariant inclusive cross-sections for π+-mesons and protons from\(\bar pp\) reactions at 22.4 GeV/c are presented. The average multiplicity for the production of π+-mesons is 1.92±0.02 and for protons 0.41±0.02. Annihilation spectra have been approximated by using the difference between\(\bar pp\) and pp data. The resulting distributions have similar gross features as the total\(\bar pp\) data.

Inclusive Muon Production in $e^+ e^-$ Annihilation with $\sqrt{s}$ = 7.3-GeV

Badtke, D.H. ; Barnett, B.A. ; Jones, L.H. ; et al.
Phys.Rev.Lett. 40 (1978) 827, 1978.
Inspire Record 134548 DOI 10.17182/hepdata.20890

We present results on charged multiplicity nch=2 and nch>2 muon events produced in e+e− collisions with 〈s12〉=7.3 GeV at 90° to the beams. The background-subtracted inclusive cross section for the nch=2 events is 10.2±5.4 pb/sr, in agreement with the expected contribution from the heavy lepton τ. The cross section for the nch>2 events is 19.0±6.5 pb/sr whereas we expect only 2.9 pb/sr from the τ, indicating that we may be seeing the weak decays of charmed mesons.

Phys.Lett.B 78 (1978) 360-363, 1978.
Inspire Record 131524 DOI 10.17182/hepdata.45244

The ϒ′ state has been observed as a narrow resonance at M ( ϒ ′) = 10.02 ± 0.02 GeV in e + e − annihilations, using a NaI and lead-glass detector in the DORIS storage ring at DESY. The ratio Г ee Г had /Г tot of electronic, hadronic, and total widths has been measured to be 0.32 ± 0.13 keV. The parameters of the Г particle have also been determined to be/ M (Г)

Inclusive rho0 Production in anti-p p Interactions at 22.4-GeV/c

Nucl.Phys.B 137 (1978) 29, 1978.
Inspire Record 122943 DOI 10.17182/hepdata.35097

Inclusive ϱ 0 production has been investigated in p p reactions at 22.4 GeV/ c . The total cross section for ϱ 0 production is 8.1 ± 2.0 mb. The average ϱ 0 's per event is 0.17 ± 0.03. The average transverse momentum, as obtained by extrapolation of a fitted simple exponential to the p T 2 distribution, is 0.52 ± 0.12 GeV/ c . The Feynman x and c.m. rapidity distributions show ϱ 0 to be “centrally” produced.

The s Dependence of Proton Fragmentation by Hadrons. 2. Incident Lab Momenta 30-GeV/c - 250-GeV/c

Weisberg, H. ; Beier, E. ; Brody, H. ; et al.
Phys.Rev.D 17 (1978) 2875, 1978.
Inspire Record 122402 DOI 10.17182/hepdata.24404

Measurements of inclusive scattering in the target-fragmentation region are extended to higher incident energy. The combined data set shows departures from an approach to the asymptotic scaling limit as A+Bs−12 that are significant even at the highest energies. When these departures are taken into account, the data approach a limit that is consistent with equal cross sections induced by particles and antiparticles and with Pomeron factorization. The corrections to A+Bs−12 are so large that detailed tests of Mueller-Regge relationships are not conclusive.
