FROM INTEGRATING D(SIG)/DOMEGA.
REAL/IMAG FOR FORWARD AMPLITUDE FROM FIT TO D(SIG)/DOMEGA IN COULOMB-NUCLEAR INTERFERENCE REGION. GLAUBER MODEL USED TO DEDUCE VALUE FOR NEUTRON TARGET.
We have studied the diffractive dissociation into di-jets of 500 GeV/c pions scattering coherently from carbon and platinum targets. Extrapolating to asymptotically high energies (where t_{min} approaches 0) we find that when the per-nucleus cross-section for this process is parameterized as $ \sigma = \sigma_0 A^{\alpha} $, $ \alpha $ has values near 1.6, the exact result depending on jet transverse momentum. These values are in agreement with those predicted by theoretical calculations of color-transparency.
Cross sections is fitted to A**POWER.
We present new measurements of the analyzing power for np scattering at 10.03 MeV accurate to ± 1 × 10−3. A new source of systematic error, related to resonances in n−C12 scattering in the neutron detectors, is discussed. The interaction of the neutron magnetic moment with the Coulomb field of the proton is found to make a significant contribution to the analyzing power at the present level of accuracy. The results are compared to predictions of nucleon-nucleon potential models. New, improved values are reported for the p and d-wave spin-orbit phase-shift splittings.

The polarization parameter has been measured in K − p elastic scattering at eight incident beam momenta between 650 MeV/ c and 1071 MeV/ c throughout a center of mass angular range of −0.75 < cos θ ∗ < 0.85 . Experimental results and coefficients of Legendre polynomial fits to the data are presented and compared with other measurements and partial wave analysis.

We report measured asymmetries as a function of polar scattering angle for the reactions p¯p→π−π+ and p¯p→p¯p, using a polarized proton target. The annihilation data, obtained at a p¯ momentum of 1.64 GeV/c, are the first asymmetry data to be collected for this channel. A fit of these data and published differential cross section data is made by a partial-wave expansion, and the results are compared with a previous analysis. The elastic scattering data, obtained at 1.64 and 2.55 GeV/c, are fitted with an eight-parameter strong-absorption model.

We report measured values of the asymmetry in the elastic scattering of K+ mesons from polarized protons. The data were obtained at fourteen incident K+ momenta from 1.33 to 2.58 GeVc; the approximate angular range covered was −0.85<cosθKc.m.<0.9. We compare our results with other available measurements and note several significant differences.
