The results of a study of strange particle production in charged current $\bar{\nu}_{\mu} N$ interactions in the Fermilab 15 ft bubble chamber filled with a heavy $Ne-H_2$ mixture are presented. Production rates and average multiplicities of $K^0$'s and Λ's as functions of W 2 and Q 2 are given. The experimental data agree well with the quark-parton model predictions if a yield of 0.06 ± 0.02 of $K^0$'s and Λ's from charm production is included. Upper limits for D-meson production are given and the shape of the charmed quark fragmentation function is discussed. Inclusive production of the K ∗ (890) and Σ(1385) resonances is measured and it is shown that only about 5% of the K 0 mesons and Λ hyperons results from resonance decays. Relative production rates of neutral strange particles on proton and neutron targets are studied.

We present experimental evidence for a resonant behaviour of the hadron production from e + e − annihilations at the e + e − storage ring ADONE. A Breit-Wigner fit to the enhancement present between 1800 and 1850 MeV gives the following parameters M = 1812 −13 +7 MeV, Γ = 34 −15 +21 MeV.
MULTIHADRON EVENTS (AT LEAST THREE CHARGED TRACKS) PER UNIT LUMINOSITY.
Multihadron production has been measured at the Adone e + e − storage ring in the c.m. energy region 1600 ÷ 1900 MeV. A resonant behaviour is observed, centered at 1819 ± 5 (±2) MeV, with a width of 24 ± 5 (±4) MeV. This effect is observed only in the events with 3 or 4 charged particles together with photons, but not in those without photons.

A measurement of the cross section of the charge-exchange reaction pp→ Δ ++ (1232)n at √ s = 23, 31 and 45 GeV at the CERN-ISR is reported. The energy dependence continues to follow a power law p lab − n with n = 1.94 ± 0.03 indicating dominance of one-pion exchange at the lowest ISR energy; there is some evidence for deviation from this at the higher ISR energies.
