We report the results from measurements of proton polarization P , in the γ +D→p+n reaction at photon energies ranging from 200 to 350 MeV. The data obtained are compared with the measured analysing power A , of the reverse reaction and with model calculations. The assumption of the dominant contribution of isobar configurations in this region is on the whole confirmed by the present proton polarization measurements.

Dimuon production in collisions of proton, oxygen and sulfur ions on heavy targets at 200 GeV/nucleon; $J/\psi$ production, $\pi$ and $K$ distributions

Nucl.Phys.A 498 (1989) 249-260, 1989.
Inspire Record 1392869 DOI 10.17182/hepdata.36947

The dimuon production in 200 GeV/nucleon O-U, O-Cu, S-U and p-U reactions is studied in function of transverse energy E T produced by the collision. The J / ψ production relative to continuum events is suppressed for heavy ion induced reactions when E T increases. This suppression is enhanced at low transverse momentum. The π and K meson distributions extracted from the data, have, for each reaction, a similar average transverse momentum which increases only slightly with the transverse energy.

We have estimated cross sections for the production of resonances in the reactions K − p → Λ 0 + pions. The data have also been analysed by a method which examines event-to-event fluctuations. Within the framework of the simple parametrization of resonance production assumed, the contribution from the resonances is insufficient to explain the observed fluctuations in the longitudinal emission of the final-state particles. These features are well reproduced by an independent cluster emission model.

Measurements of wide angle elastic p-p scattering between 7 and 12 GeV/c are reported. Structure found in the angular distributions is suggestive of diffraction.

$K^- p$ elastic scattering at 10 GeV/c

Inspire Record 1392680 DOI 10.17182/hepdata.29583

K − p elastic scattering at 10 GeV/ c is studied on ∼3600 bubble chamber events. The elastic cross section is found to be σ el = (3.20 ± 0.14)mb and the ratio σ el σ tot = (0.142 ± 0.006) , that is below the upper limit of 0.185 suggested in a model by Van Hove. The value of the forward differential cross section is consistent with zero real part to the scattering amplitude. The slope of d σ d t is similar to that for π ± and greater than that of K + , with no evidence for shrinkage of the diffraction peak. No events of backward scattering were observed. The Regge-pole model of Phillips and Rarita gives a good fit to the data.

Test of quark model predictions in the reactions $\pi^+ p \to \omega \Delta^{++}$ and $\rho^0\Delta^{++}$ at 5 GeV/c

The well-known class-A quark-model relations of Białas and Zalewski are parametrised in a particular form, where one can compare the data with the predictions separately for the meson non-flip and flip parts, defined in the transversity frame. A 3-parameter fit to the joint decay angular distribution is performed on the experimental data, and the results are compared with the quark-model predictions for various regions of the four-momentum transfer. The effect of an s -wave state under the ρ 0 is discussed.

Inspire Record 1392686 DOI 10.17182/hepdata.836

Data are presented for the reaction ep → ep π 0 at a nominal four-momentum transfer squared of 0.5 (GeV/ c ) 2 . The data were obtained using an extracted electron beam from NINA and two magnetic spectrometers for coincidence detection of the electron and proton. Details are given of the experimental method and the results are given for isobar masses in the range 1.19 – 1.73 GeV/ c 2 .

Measurement of the charge asymmetry in top-quark pair production in the lepton-plus-jets final state in $pp$ collision data at $\sqrt{s}=8$ TeV with the ATLAS detector

Eur.Phys.J.C 76 (2016) 87, 2016.
Inspire Record 1392455 DOI 10.17182/hepdata.75528

This paper reports inclusive and differential measurements of the $t\bar{t}$ charge asymmetry $A_{\textrm{C}}$ in 20.3 fb$^{-1}$ of $\sqrt{s} = 8$ TeV $pp$ collisions recorded by the ATLAS experiment at the Large Hadron Collider at CERN. Three differential measurements are performed as a function of the invariant mass, transverse momentum and longitudinal boost of the $t\bar{t}$ system. The $t\bar{t}$ pairs are selected in the single-lepton channels ($e$ or $\mu$) with at least four jets, and a likelihood fit is used to reconstruct the $t\bar{t}$ event kinematics. A Bayesian unfolding procedure is performed to infer the asymmetry at parton level from the observed data distribution. The inclusive $t\bar{t}$ charge asymmetry is measured to be $A_{\textrm{C}} = 0.009 \pm 0.005$ (stat.$+$syst.). The inclusive and differential measurements are compatible with the values predicted by the Standard Model.
