We have searched for a neutral $H$ dibaryon decaying via $H\rightarrow\Lambda n$ and $H\rightarrow\Sigma~0 n$. Our search has yielded two candidate events from which we set an upper limit on the $H$ production cross section. Normalizing to the inclusive $\Lambda$ production cross section, we find $(d\sigma_H/d\Omega)\,/\,(d\sigma_\Lambda/d\Omega) < 6.3\times 10~{-6}$ at 90\% C.L., for an $H$ of mass $\approx$\,2.15GeV/$c~2$.

The reaction $~{12}{\rm C}(\nu_\mu,\mu~-) {\rm X}$ has been measured near threshold using a $\pi ~+$ decay-in-flight $\nu_\mu$ beam from the Los Alamos Meson Physics Facility and a massive liquid scintillator neutrino detector (LSND). In the energy region $123.7 < {\rm E}_\nu < 280$ MeV, the measured spectral shape is consistent with that expected from the Fermi Gas Model. However, the measured flux--averaged inclusive cross section ($(8.3 \pm 0.7 {\rm stat.} \pm 1.6 {\rm syst.}) \times 10~{-40} {\rm cm}~2$) is more than a factor of 2 lower than that predicted by the Fermi Gas Model and by a recent random phase approximation calculation.

A precise measurement of the differential cross section at zero degrees for the pion charge-exchange reaction π−p→π0n at pπ=522 MeV/c has been made. The result is dσdΩ (0∘)=4.32±0.11 mb/sr.
DIFFERENTIAL CROSS SECTION AT THETA = 0.
High-statistics measurements of the absolute differential cross section for n−p scattering have been made over neutron c.m.-system scattering angles 9.5°<θ*<64.5°. The statistical error is 1.7 to 3.3% for 2°-wide angular bins, and the systematic error is 2.7 to 3.3%. The cross section is fitted by dσdΩ*=A exp(bt), with A=10.27±0.36 mb/sr, b=5.00±0.05, and 0.01<−t<0.39 (GeV/c)2. For the ratio of the real to the imaginary part of the forward-scattering amplitude we obtained αn>~−0.43±0.04, consistent with other less precise determinations of αn.
EXPONENTIAL FIT TO D(SIG)/DOMEGA OVER -T = 0.01 TO 0.39 GEV**2 (THETA = 9.5 TO 64.5 DEG).
The inclusive cross sections, measured up to large values of effective mass (≡q22ν), are well fitted by dσd3p=Bxexp(−αxp22mx). Values of Bx and αx are given for Be, C, Cu, and Ta at the incident proton energy of 600 MeV and for Ag, Ta, and Pt at 800 MeV. Extremely large dp and tp ratios and large A and q2 dependences of the relative cross sections are observed.
D3(SIG)/D3(P) is fitted by the equation: CONST*exp(-SLOPE*P**2/(2*M)). CONST is presented per nucleon.

We report measurements of the differential cross section for photoproduction of π0 mesons from hydrogen, with the pion emerging near 0 deg, in the photon energy range 290 to 700 MeV. The results show no unusual behavior of the cross section in the forward direction. They are consistent with the angular distribution characteristic of a magnetic-dipole transition to a P32 state. The results agree reasonably well with theoretical predictions of Gourdin and Salin, but disagree with a prediction of DeTollis and Verganelakis. Least-squares fits in powers of cosθ have been made to the available angular distributions.
