The parameters D, R, R' and P for pp elastic scattering have been measured in the centre-of-mass angular range 13 degrees to 58 degrees with an accuracy of about +or-0.02 at 209, 324, 379, 425 and 515 MeV. These results are incorporated with earlier data into a phase-shift analysis. Phase-shifts are generally in agreement with the theoretical predictions of the Paris group, although the F-wave spin-orbit combination is rather stronger than predicted. The fitted value for the pi 0pp coupling constant in g02=14.06+or-0.65.

Measurement of the Spin Correlation Parameters a(00kk), a(00ks) and a(00ss) in the p p Elastic Scattering Between 400-MeV and 600-MeV

Inspire Record 162345 DOI 10.17182/hepdata.23773

We have measured the spin-correlation parameters A00kk, A00ks, and A00ss in p−p scattering between 400 and 600 MeV using a longitudinally polarized beam and a butanol target polarized in the horizontal plane. Owing to the restrictive geometrical acceptance of the target, the polarization axis of the target was oriented at an angle α with respect to beam direction. The parameters A00kk and A00ks were therefore measured as a linear combination at 577, 536, 514, 494, and 445 MeV. These experiments were extended to the measurement of A00ks and A00ss by using a transversely polarized beam. We present the results, which are compared with phase-shift predictions.

The polarization parameter Pn000, the two-spin parameters Dn0n0, Kn00n, Ds0s0, Ds0k0, and the three-spin parameters Ms0sn and Ms0kn have been measured for pp elastic scattering between 34° and 118° center-of-mass scattering angle at six different incident kinetic energies 447, 473, 497, 517, 539, and 560 MeV. The experiment was performed at SIN using a polarized proton beam, a polarized butanol target, and a polarimeter for the measurement of the polarization of the scattered proton.

Spin correlation measurements for p (polarized) + p (polarized) elastic scattering at 497.5-MeV

Hoffmann, G.W. ; Barlett, M.L. ; Kielhorn, W. ; et al.
Phys.Rev.C 49 (1994) 630-632, 1994.
Inspire Record 383760 DOI 10.17182/hepdata.25964

The spin correlation parameter A00NN for 497.5 MeV proton + proton elastic scattering was determined over the center-of-momentum scattering angle region 23.1°–64.9 °. The new A00NN extend to more forward angles than existing A00NN and have significantly smaller statistical errors (±0.01–0.04). The A00NN are qualitatively described by recent phase shift analyses, but a quantitative shape and normalization discrepancy remains in the forward angle region. These new data provide important constraints for nucleon-nucleon spin-dependent amplitudes at forward angles which are used in theoretical models of nucleon-nucleus scattering.

Energy dependent measurements of the p p elastic analyzing power and narrow dibaryon resonances

Nucl.Phys.A 569 (1994) 791-820, 1994.
Inspire Record 320015 DOI 10.17182/hepdata.38528

The energy dependence of the pp elastic analyzing power has been measured using an internal target during polarized beam acceleration. The data were obtained in incident-energy steps varying from 4 to 17 MeV over an energy range from 0.5 to 2.0 GeV. The statistical uncertainty of the analyzing power is typically less than 0.01. A narrow structure is observed around 2.17 GeV in the two-proton invariant mass distribution. A possible explanation for the structure with narrow resonances is discussed.

Measurements of Polarization and Spin Rotation in Proton Proton Elastic Scattering at 3.83-GeV/c

Nucl.Phys.B 103 (1976) 269-278, 1976.
Inspire Record 113032 DOI 10.17182/hepdata.35989

The polarization P in proton-proton elastic scattering has been measured at 3.83 GeV/ c for 0.35 ⩽ | t | ⩽ 3.0 (GeV/ c ) 2 , i.e. 29° ⩽ θ c.m. ⩽ 93°. The polarization shows a minimum at − ⋍ 1.0 ( GeV /c) 2 followed by a maximum at −⋍1.5 ( GeV /c) 2 . At the same energy the spin rotation parameter R has been measured in the interval 0.18 ⩽ | t | ⩽ 0.57 (GeV/ c ) 2 . Comparison with the results at 6.0 and 15.75 GeV/ c shows a similar t -dependence and the same average value at all three energies.

A(ll) at Small Momentum Transfers for the First Complete Determination of the Forward $p p$ Scattering Amplitude

Pauletta, G. ; Gazzaly, M. ; Tanaka, N. ; et al.
Phys.Lett.B 211 (1988) 19-23, 1988.
Inspire Record 252973 DOI 10.17182/hepdata.29911

The asymmetry A LL for pp elastic scattering has been measured at 650 and 800 MeV in the region of Coulomb-nuclear interference. The real part of the double-spin-flip amplitude extracted from these data completes our determination of the forward pp scattering amplitudes at these energies. Comparison with the predictions of forward dispersion relations reveals a discrepancy in the spin-dependent channels at 650 MeV.

C(LL) = (L, L: 0, 0) MEASUREMENTS AND A STRUCTURE DUE TO A P PARTIAL WAVE IN THE P P SYSTEM

Nucl.Phys.B 213 (1983) 365-370, 1983.
Inspire Record 191085 DOI 10.17182/hepdata.34015

Measurements of C LL of pp elastic scattering near θ c.m. = 90° at thirteen energies between 300 and 800 MeV are reported. These, together with previous values of C NN , are used to extract values of two quantities, ƒ s and ƒ t , which contain only spin-singlet and only coupled spin-triplet partial waves, respectively. The ƒ s curve, which is not dependent on C LL , exhibits the behavior expected for the previously conjectured 1 D 2 resonance. The ƒ t curve also exhibits a resonance-like behavior, which could be due either to the 3 P 0 or the 3 P 2 partial wave.
