The SciBooNE Collaboration has performed a search for charged current coherent pion production from muon neutrinos scattering on carbon, $\nu_{\mu}$ $^{12}C \to \mu^{-12}C \pi^+$, with two distinct data samples. No evidence for coherent pion production is observed. We set 90% confidence level upper limits on the cross section ratio of charged current coherent pion production to the total charged current cross section at $ 0.67 \times 10^{-2}$ at mean neutrino energy 1.1 GeV and 1.36\times 10^{-2} at mean neutrino energy 2.2 GeV.

A Search for electron neutrino appearance at the Delta m**2 ~ 1- eV**2 scale

Phys.Rev.Lett. 98 (2007) 231801, 2007.
Inspire Record 748380 DOI 10.17182/hepdata.113834

The MiniBooNE Collaboration reports first results of a search for $\nu_e$ appearance in a $\nu_\mu$ beam. With two largely independent analyses, we observe no significant excess of events above background for reconstructed neutrino energies above 475 MeV. The data are consistent with no oscillations within a two neutrino appearance-only oscillation model.

$\sin^2(2\theta)$ sensitivity and upper limit as a function of $\Delta m^2$ for a 2-neutrino muon-to-electron oscillation fit. The $90\%$ and $3\sigma$ levels are shown for both the upper limit and sensitivity in the range $10^{-2} \text{eV}^2 < \Delta m^2 < 10^2 \text{eV}^2$.

The $\chi^2$ as a function of $\Delta m^2$ and $\sin^2(2\theta)$ for a 2-neutrino muon-to-electron oscillation fit. Note the value quoted in the third column is the total, and not the reduced, $\chi^2$ value (i.e. it has not been divided by the number of degrees of freedom).

The Ratio of Deep - Inelastic e-n to e-p Cross-Sections in the Threshold Region

Bodek, A. ; Dubin, D.L. ; Elias, J.E. ; et al.
Phys.Lett.B 51 (1974) 417-420, 1974.
Inspire Record 91646 DOI 10.17182/hepdata.27946

We report measurements of the ratio of the deep-inelastic electron-neutron to electron-proton differential cross sections in the threshold ( ω <3) region. The ratio was found to scale and to decrease monotically with decreasing ω . No violation of the quark model lower bound of 0.25 was observed in the ratio.

Electron-proton elastic scattering cross sections have been measured at the Stanford Linear Accelerator Center at four-momentum transfers squared (q 2 ) of 1.0, 1.5, 2.0, 2.5and 3.75 (GeV/ c ) 2 . The angular distributions at q 2 = 2.5 and 3.75 (GeV/ c ) 2 are sufficient to provide values of the ratio G E / G M independent of the results from other laboratories. Our results are compatible with scaling, G E (q 2 ) = G M (q 2 )/ μ , within the experimental errors.

Inspire Record 743342 DOI 10.17182/hepdata.41748

We report on measurements of the inclusive jet production cross section as a function of the jet transverse momentum in pp-bar collisions at sqrt{s} = 1.96 TeV}, using the k_T algorithm and a data sample corresponding to 1.0 fb^-1 collected with the Collider Detector at Fermilab in Run II. The measurements are carried out in five different jet rapidity regions with |yjet| < 2.1 and transverse momentum in the range 54 < \ptjet < 700 GeV/c. Next-to-leading order perturbative QCD predictions are in good agreement with the measured cross sections.

Measurement of the b jet cross-section in events with a Z boson in p anti-p collisions at s**(1/2) = 1.96-TeV

The CDF collaboration Abulencia, A. ; Acosta, Darin E. ; Adelman, Jahred A. ; et al.
Phys.Rev.D 74 (2006) 032008, 2006.
Inspire Record 717572 DOI 10.17182/hepdata.41805

A measurement of the inclusive bottom jet cross section is presented for events containing a $Z$ boson in $p\bar{p}$ collisions at $\sqrt{s}=1.96$ TeV using the Collider Detector at Fermilab. $Z$ bosons are identified in their electron and muon decay modes, and $b$ jets with $E_T>20$ GeV and $|\eta|<1.5$ are identified by reconstructing a secondary decay vertex. The measurement is based on an integrated luminosity of about 330 ${\rm pb}^{-1}$. A cross section times branching ratio of $\sigma (Z+b {\rm jets}) \times {\cal B}(Z \to \ell^+ \ell^-)= 0.93 \pm 0.36$ pb is found, where ${\cal B}(Z\to \ell^+ \ell^-)$ is the branching ratio of the $Z$ boson or $\gamma^*$ into a single flavor dilepton pair ($e$ or $\mu$) in the mass range between 66 and 116 GeV$/c^2$. The ratio of $b$ jets to the total number of jets of any flavor in the $Z$ sample, within the same kinematic range as the $b$ jets, is $2.36 \pm 0.92%$. Here, the uncertainties are the quadratic sum of statistical and systematic uncertainties. Predictions made with NLO QCD agree, within experimental and theoretical uncertainties, with these measurements.

A Comparison of the Deep Inelastic Structure Functions of Deuterium and Aluminum Nuclei

Phys.Rev.Lett. 51 (1983) 534, 1983.

The deep-inelastic electromagnetic structure functions of deuterium and aluminum nuclei have been measured. The kinematic dependence of the ratio of aluminum and deuterium structure functions is similar to the dependence of the ratio of steel and deuterium structure functions, and provides further evidence for the distortion of the quark momentum distributions of nucleons bound in a nucleus.

The deep-inelastic electromagnetic structure functions of steel, deuterium, and hydrogen nuclei have been measured with use of the high-energy electron beam at the Stanford Linear Accelerator Center. The ratio of the structure functions of steel and deuterium cannot be understood simply by corrections due to Fermi-motion effects. The data indicate that the quark momentum distributions in the nucleon become distorted in the nucleus. The present results are consistent with recent measurements with high-energy muon beams.
