The production of neutral strange hadrons is investigated using deep-inelastic scattering events measured with the H1 detector at HERA. The measurements are made in the phase space defined by the negative four-momentum transfer squared of the photon 2 < Q^2 < 100 GeV^2 and the inelasticity 0.1 < y < 0.6. The K_s and Lambda production cross sections and their ratios are determined. K_s production is compared to the production of charged particles in the same region of phase space. The Lambda - anti-Lambda asymmetry is also measured and found to be consistent with zero. Predictions of leading order Monte Carlo programs are compared to the data.

Inclusive non-diffractive photoproduction of rho(770)^0, K^*(892)^0 and phi(1020) mesons is investigated with the H1 detector in ep collisions at HERA. The corresponding average \gamma p centre-of-mass energy is 210 GeV. The mesons are measured in the transverse momentum range 0.5<p_T<7 GeV and the rapidity range |y_{lab}|<1. Differential cross sections are presented as a function of transverse momentum and rapidity, and are compared to the predictions of hadroproduction models.

We report the measurement of charged $D^*$ mesons in inclusive jets produced in proton-proton collisions at a center of mass energy $\sqrt{s}$ = 200 GeV with the STAR experiment at RHIC. For $D^{*}$ mesons with fractional momenta $0.2 < z < 0.5$ in inclusive jets with 11.5 GeV mean transverse energy, the production rate is found to be $N(D^{*+}+D^{*-})/N(\mathrm{jet}) = 0.015 \pm 0.008 (\mathrm{stat}) \pm 0.007 (\mathrm{sys})$. This rate is consistent with perturbative QCD evaluation of gluon splitting into a pair of charm quarks and subsequent hadronization.
D*+-/jet azimuthal correlations. Delta Phi represents the difference in azimuthal angle between D*+- (of 2<Pt<10 GeV/c) and the jet's (of 8<Pt<20 GeV/c) axis.
Production rate of D*+- mesons with fractional longitudinal momenta 0.2<z<0.5 (z = Pl(D*+-)/Ejet, Pl is the momentum projection on the jet axis and Ejet is the total jet energy) in inclusive jets of 11.5 Gev mean transverse energy.
The production of jets is studied in deep-inelastic ep scattering at large negative four momentum transfer squared 150<Q^2<15000 GeV^2 using HERA data taken in 1999-2007, corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 395 pb^-1. Inclusive jet, 2-jet and 3-jet cross sections, normalised to the neutral current deep-inelastic scattering cross sections, are measured as functions of Q^2, jet transverse momentum and proton momentum fraction. The measurements are well described by perturbative QCD calculations at next-to-leading order corrected for hadronisation effects. The strong coupling as determined from these measurements is alpha_s(M_Z) = 0.1168 +/-0.0007 (exp.) +0.0046/-0.0030 (th.) +/-0.0016(pdf).

We report on measurements of the branching ratios of the decays B+→χc10(1P)K+ and B+→J/ψK+π+π−, where χc10(1P)→J/ψγ and J/ψ→μ+μ− in pp¯ collisions at s=1.8TeV. Using a data sample from an integrated luminosity of 110pb−1 collected by the Collider Detector at Fermilab we measure the branching ratios to be BR(B+→χc10(1P)K+)=15.5±5.4(stat)±1.5(syst)±1.3(br)×10−4 and BR(B+→J/ψK+π+π−)=6.9±1.8(stat)±1.1(syst)±0.4(br)×10−4 where (br) is due to the finite precision on BR(B+→J/ψK+), BR(χc10(1P)→J/ψγ) is used to normalize the signal yield, and (syst) encompasses all other systematic uncertainties.

We report the first observation of diffractive $J/\psi(\to \mu^+\mu^-)$ production in $\bar pp$ collisions at $\sqrt{s}$=1.8 TeV. Diffractive events are identified by their rapidity gap signature. In a sample of events with two muons of transverse momentum $p_T^{\mu}>2$ GeV/$c$ within the pseudorapidity region $|\eta|<$1.0, the ratio of diffractive to total $J/\psi$ production rates is found to be $R_{J/\psi}= [1.45\pm 0.25]%$. The ratio $R_{J/\psi}(x)$ is presented as a function of $x$-Bjorken. By combining it with our previously measured corresponding ratio $R_{jj}(x)$ for diffractive dijet production, we extract a value of $0.59\pm 0.15$ for the gluon fraction of the diffractive structure function of the proton.

We have measured the ratio of prompt production rates of the charmonium states χc1 and χc2 in 110pb−1 of pp¯ collisions at s=1.8TeV. The photon from their decay into J/ψγ is reconstructed through conversion into e+e− pairs. The energy resolution this technique provides makes the resolution of the two states possible. We find the ratio of production cross sections σχc2σχc1=0.96±0.27(stat)±0.11(syst) for events with pT(J/ψ)>4.0GeV/c, |η(J/ψ)|<0.6, and pT(γ)>1.0GeV/c.

We report on a study of the ratio of inclusive three-jet to inclusive two-jet production cross sections as a function of total transverse energy in p-pbar collisions at a center-of-mass energy sqrt{s} = 1.8 TeV, using data collected with the D0 detector during the 1992-1993 run of the Fermilab Tevatron Collider. The measurements are used to deduce preferred renormalization scales in perturbative O(alpha_s^3) QCD calculations in modeling soft-jet emission.
First and second errors correspond to uncorrelated (C=UNCORR) and correlated (C=CORR) uncertainties. Uncorrelated uncertainties include statistical and uncorrelated systematic uncertainties added in quadrature.
A partial wave analysis of the centrally produced eta pi0 and eta pi- channels has been performed in pp collisions using an incident beam momentum of 450 GeV/c. Clear a0(980) and a2(1320) signals have been observed in S and D+ waves respectively. The dPT, phi and |t| distributions of these resonances are presented.

The measurements of Rb = sigma(e+e- -> bb~)/sigma(e+e- -> qq~) and of the b quark forward-backward charge asymmetry, A^b_fb, at centre-of-mass energies above the Z pole are described. The measurement of Rb is performed at \root{s} between 130 and 189 GeV using a b-tagging method that exploits the relatively large decay length of b-hadrons. The measurement of A^b_fb is performed using the large statistics event sample collected at \root{s}=189 GeV with a lepton-tag analysis based on the selection of prompt muons and electrons. The results at \root{s}=189 GeV are: Rb = 0.163 +/- 0.013 (stat.) +/- 0.005 (syst.), A^b_fb = 0.61 +/- 0.18 (stat.) +/- 0.09 (syst.).
