The results of the measurements of antiproton-nuclei annihilation cross-sections at the momentum range from 0.70 to 2.50 GeV/ c are presented. The A -dependence of the cross-sections is described by the formula σ 0 A α . The behavior of the parameters σ 0 and α indicates the possibility of Coulomb influence on the annihilation processes at low momenta. Comparison with the Glauber theory is carried out. The Coulomb corrections to the Glauber formula for the absorption cross-sections of hadrons by nuclei are calculated. The influence of the real part of the nuclear potential is taken into account. Calculations are made in the frame of the high-energy approach. A comparison with data of annihilation cross-sections of antiprotons on nuclei is made.

The differential cross section for the backward (120° ⩽ θ c.m.s. ⩽ 180°) pion-deuteron elastic scattering was measured at eight incident pion momenta from 0.90 to 2.025 GeV/ c . A distinctive change in the shape of the angular distribution is observed. At 0.9 GeV/ c the differential cross section decreases smoothly to 180° in accordance with predictions of multiple-scattering theory. At 1.31 GeV/ c , i.e. in the region of the hypothetical 1 I 6 dibaryon with a mass of 2.9 GeV, the differential cross section is practically independent of angle. At higher energies a sharp backward peak is clearly seen. Connections of our results with dibaryons and Regge asymptotic behaviour are discussed.

Total cross sections for Sigma- and pi- on beryllium, carbon, polyethylene and copper as well as total cross sections for protons on beryllium and carbon have been measured in a broad momentum range around 600GeV/c. These measurements were performed with a transmission technique adapted to the SELEX hyperon-beam experiment at Fermilab. We report on results obtained for hadron-nucleus cross sections and on results for sigma_tot(Sigma- N) and sigma_tot(pi- N), which were deduced from nuclear cross sections.
