The e + e − → p p cross section has been measured in the energy interval (1975 ⩽ 2 E ⩽ 2250) MeV for |cos θ | < 0.7. The measurement is based on ∼ 100 events, thus improving by a factor 3 on the previous existing statistics in this energy interval. The form factor | G | 2 is given as a function of energy under the assumption | G E | = | G M |. We also give the first measurement of the differential cross section, averaged over the energy interval, and estimate the ratio G M |/| G E | from it.

The differential cross section of the reaction γ + p → p + πo has been measured at the Deutsches Elektronen- Synchrotron, Hamburg, at mean phonon energies of 1.36, 2.0 and 3.0 GeV and pion center of mass angles between 0o and 70o. The results are compared with some theoretical calculations based on elementary and reggeized 1- meson exchange.

We present differential cross-sections for the electro-production of single charged pions from deuterium for a virtual photon mass squared −1.0 GeV2 and for pion nucleon masses in the range 1.23–1.68 GeV (the 1st and 2nd resonance regions). The data are compared with predictions from fits to hydrogen data.

Measurements of π±p elastic differential cross-sections have been performed in the forward direction, using a missing-mass spark chamber spectrometer. The films have been seanned by an automatic apparatus. A phase-shift analysis of the experimental data has been done, leading to three solutions. Various experiments are proposed in order to resolve the ambiguities.

This paper presents the results of a study of the dominant neutral final states from π−p interactions. The data were obtained in an experiment performed at the Brookhaven National Laboratory Alternating Gradient Synchrotron, using a set of steel-plate optical spark chambers surrounding a liquid-hydrogen target. We present differential and total cross sections for the reactions (1) π−p→n+π0 and (2) π−p→n+η0(η0→2γ) and total cross sections for the reactions (3) π−p→n+kπ0 (k=2, 3, 4, and 5) and (4) π−p→all neutrals for eighteen values of beam momentum in the interval 1.3 to 4.0 GeV/c. The angular distributions for (1) and (2) have been analyzed in terms of expansions in Legendre polynomials, the coefficients for which are also given.
