Data on p p annihilations at rest into K 1 0 K 1 0 ω 0 and K + K − ω 0 are discuss New measurements for the mass, the width and the branching ratio of the ω 0 are presented. Evidence for quasi two-body annihilations p p → ϕπ, p ̄ p → S ∗ π is discussed.
PRODUCTION RATE FOR ANNIHILATION AT REST.
The charged-particle fractional momentum distribution within jets, D(z), has been measured in dijet events from 1.8-TeV p¯p collisions in the Collider Detector at Fermilab. As expected from scale breaking in quantum chromodynamics, the fragmentation function D(z) falls more steeply as dijet invariant mass increases from 60 to 200 GeV/c2. The average fraction of the jet momentum carried by charged particles is 0.65±0.02(stat)±0.08(syst).

The polarization parameter has been measured for K − p elastic scattering at nine incident beam momenta between 0.955 and 1.272 GeV/ c covering the c.m. angular range −0.9 < cos θ ∗ < + 0.9 . Experimental results and coefficients of Legendre polynomial fits to the data are presented and compared with other measurements and a partial-wave analysis.

LEGENDRE POLYNOMIAL COEFFICIENTS FOR POLARIZATION DERIVED USING INTERPOLATED DIFFERENTIAL CROSS SECTION DATA OF B. CONFORTO ET AL., NP B105, 189 (1976).
The production of charged kaon pairs in two-photon interactions has been studied with the ARGUS detector and the topological cross section has been measured. The γγ-widths and interference parameters have been determined for the tensor mesonsf2 (1270),a2 (1318) andf′2 (1525). The helicity structure assumed for the continuum contribution has a significant effect on the result. Upper limits have been obtained for the γγ-widths of the glueball candidate statesf2 (1720) andX (2230).
Data read from graph.. Errors are the square roots of the number of events.

The polarizaton parameter has been measured for K + n elastic scatteringat five incident beam momenta between 0.851 GeV/ c and 1.351 GeV/ c for c.m. angles in the range −0.9 < cos θ ∗ < 0.9 . It is in good agreement with the most recent partial wave analysis of the KN system.

A tagged medium-energy neutron beam has been used in a precise measurement of the absolute differential cross section for np back-scattering. The results resolve significant discrepancies within the np database concerning the angular dependence in this regime. The experiment has determined the absolute normalization with 1.5% uncertainty, suitable to verify constraints of supposedly comparable precision that arise from the rest of the database in partial wave analyses. The analysis procedures, especially those associated with evaluation of systematic errors in the experiment, are described in detail so that systematic uncertainties may be included in a reasonable way in subsequent partial wave analysis fits incorporating the present results.
Final differential cross sections averaged over data samples.
We present a measurement of the cross section for production of isolated prompt photons in p¯p collisions at √s =1.8 TeV. The cross section, measured as a function of transverse momentum (PT), agrees qualitatively with QCD calculations but has a steeper slope at low PT.
Additional normalization systematic uncertainty of 27 pct for first eleven entries, and +32 pct(-46 pct) for last four entries.
We report the first measurement of the parity-violating asymmetry in elastic electron scattering from the proton. The asymmetry depends on the neutral weak magnetic form factor of the proton which contains new information on the contribution of strange quark-antiquark pairs to the magnetic moment of the proton. We obtain the value $G_M~Z= 0.34 \pm 0.09 \pm 0.04 \pm 0.05$ n.m. at $Q~2=0.1$ (GeV/c)${}~2$.
Polarized beam. FORMFACTOR(NAME=GZM) = (1/4)*(GM_P-GM_N) - SIN2TW*GM_P - (1/4)*GM_S, whereFORMFACTOR(NAME=GM_S) is the strange quark contribution. FORMFACTOR(NAME=GZM) and FORMFACTOR(NAME=GM_S) are in nucleon magnetic FF.
We have measured the pT distribution of top quarks that are pair produced in pp¯ collisions at s=1.8TeV using a sample of tt¯ decays in which we observe a single high- pT charged lepton, a neutrino, and four or more jets. We use a likelihood technique that corrects for the experimental bias introduced due to event reconstruction and detector resolution effects. The observed distribution is consistent with the standard model prediction. We use these data to place limits on the production of high- pT top quarks suggested in some models of anomalous top quark pair production.

Measurements have been made of the double polarisation parameters G and H in the photoproduction of neutral pions from protons, for incident photon energies between 1300 MeV and 2300 MeV and for pion c.m. angles between 50δ and 80δ. The results are compared with predictions from a recent comprehensive analysis of earlier photoproduction data.
