An accurate measurement of d σ d Ω (π − p → η n ) at 1531 MeV total energy (expanded) up to l = 4 Legendre polynomials) requires reconsideration of previous angular distribution fits which were expanded only up to l = 2 and of subsequent partial-wave analysis. An energy-dependent partial-wave analysis has been performed here for p η ∗ up to 450 MeV/ c . In addition to the well-known S 11 (1520 MeV) resonance, either the P 11 (1532 MeV) or the P 13 (1530 MeV) resonance is found to be strongly coupled to the η-n channel. In both cases, the P 11 (1729 MeV) resonance is needed as is the weakly coupled D 13 (1525 MeV) resonance. The decay states in the ηn channelare compared to the SU(3) and SU(6) W predictions.

Measurement and Phase Shift Analysis of the p Parameter in pi+ p Scattering at 236-MeV

Amsler, Claude ; Rudolf, F. ; Weymuth, P. ; et al.
Phys.Lett.B 57 (1975) 289-292, 1975.
Inspire Record 103210 DOI 10.17182/hepdata.27848

The P parameter for π + p scattering at 236.3 MeV has been measured between 50° and 146° c.m. with very low background using a butanol polarized proton target. The resulting D phases are in fair agreement with dispersion relation values.

Phys.Lett.B 58 (1975) 223-227, 1975.
Inspire Record 103552 DOI 10.17182/hepdata.27801

We report on partial results of the analysis of a p̄p backward elastic scattering experiment, between 175 and 750 MeV/ c . Various evidences are given of the resonant nature of a backward peak at the S-meson mass. Analysis leads to J PC =4 ++ , firmly connected to other experimental data with I G =1 − . All results agree for an assignment to the A 2 trajectory.

Phys.Lett.B 55 (1975) 241-244, 1975.
Inspire Record 90929 DOI 10.17182/hepdata.35716

The polarized target asymmetry in the reaction γp→π°p has been measured at c.m. angles around 100° for photon energies between 0.4 and 1.0 GeV by detecting both the recoil proton and the π°. The result is compared with recent analyses.

Polarized Target Asymmetry in $\pi^+$ Photoproduction Between 0.3-GeV and 1.0-GeV at 130°

Feller, P. ; Fukushima, M. ; Horikawa, N. ; et al.
Nucl.Phys.B 102 (1976) 207, 1976.
Inspire Record 90055 DOI 10.17182/hepdata.36079

The polarized target asymmetry for γ + p → π + + n was measured at c.m. angles around 130° for the energy range between 0.3 and 1.0 GeV. A magnetic spectrometer system was used to detect π + mesons from the polarized butanol target. The data show two prominent positive peaks at 0.4 and 0.8 GeV and a deep minimum at 0.6 GeV. These features are well reproduced by the phenomenological analysis made by us.

In exposures of the Argonne National Laboratory 12-ft bubble chamber filled with hydrogen and deuterium to a neutrino beam, we have observed events consisting of (1) a single π+ meson originating in the liquid, and (2) a proton with an e+e− pair pointing to it. Only a small fraction of these events can be ascribed to known reactions such as np→nnπ+ and np→npπ0. The remaining events, which correspond to a signal of about 4.5 standard deviations, we ascribe to the reactions νp→νnπ+ and νpπ0.

The Real Part of the Forward Scattering Amplitude in pi+- p Elastic Scattering Below 2-GeV/c

Baillon, P. ; Bricman, C. ; Eberhard, P. ; et al.
Phys.Lett.B 50 (1974) 387-390, 1974.
Inspire Record 89683 DOI 10.17182/hepdata.27947

The differential cross section for π ± p elastic scattering below 2 GeV/ c has been measured at small forward pion angles by an electronics experiment. The interference effects observed between the Coulomb and the nuclear interaction have been used to determine the magnitude and sign of the real parts of the π ± p forward scattering amplitude. The latter are compared to the values predicted by the dispersion relations.

Electromagnetic Form-Factors of the Proton at Low Four-Momentum Transfer

Nucl.Phys.B 93 (1975) 461-478, 1975.
Inspire Record 850 DOI 10.17182/hepdata.31992

The 300 MeV electron linear accelerator of Mainz has been used to measure the angular dependence of the electron-proton elastic scattering cross sections at seven different energies for squared four-momentum transfers between 0.13 and 4.7 fm −2 . The proton form factors have been extracted from the cross sections by means of Rosenbluth plots and by fitting parametrized analytical functions directly to the cross sections. The best fit is compared to the data of other laboratories. The previously reported deviations from the dipole fit have been confirmed. From the form factors at q 2 <0.9 fm 2 the proton r.m.s. radius has been determined. A determination of the spectral function of the nucleon isovector form factor G E V in the time-like is obtained using a realistic ϱ resonance.

Nucl.Phys.B 78 (1974) 93-109, 1974.
Inspire Record 89485 DOI 10.17182/hepdata.32220

Differential cross sections for the elastic scattering of K + mesons on protons have been measured at 12 lab momenta between 130 and 755 MeV/ c using a hydrogen filled bubble chamber. The results are consistent with a repulsive S-wave nuclear force. A phase-shift analysis yielded the following values of the low-energy parameters: a S 1 2 =(0.309±0.002) fm , r S 1 2 =(0.032±0.02) fm a P 1 2 =(0.021±0.002) fm , a P 3 2 =(0.013±0.001) fm 3
