Phys.Rev.D 9 (1974) 555-559, 1974.
Inspire Record 93113 DOI 10.17182/hepdata.21953

We present herein the initial results of a large-angle elastic p−p polarization experiment which is now in progress at the Argonne ZGS (Zero-Gradient Synchrotron) accelerator. Data for the incident proton momentum of 5.15 GeVc are presented for 30∘≲θc.m.≲90∘. These results, which extend to t≈−4.0(GeVc)2, represent the first high-statistics p−p polarization measurements for |t| values greater than ∼2.5 (GeVc)2. We observe a minimum in the polarization near t=−0.8(GeVc)2, a smooth increase in the polarization until a maximum is attained near t=−1.8(GeVc)2, and then a monotonic decline in the polarization until the value of zero is reached at θc.m.=90∘. The data are analyzed in terms of an optical model.

Barnett, B.A. ; Laasanen, A.T. ; Koehler, P.F.M. ; et al.
Phys.Rev.D 8 (1973) 2751-2764, 1973.
Inspire Record 93326 DOI 10.17182/hepdata.22081

Full angular distributions of the polarization parameter in elastic K+p scattering at 1.37, 1.45, 1.60, 1.71, 1.80, 1.89, 2.11, and 2.31 GeV/c are presented. These data were obtained in an experiment at the Zero Gradient Synchrotron using a polarized proton target with arrays of scintillation and Čerenkov counters to detect the scattered particles.

Anti-Proton-Proton Charge-Exchange Between 1-GeV/c and 3-GeV/c

Cutts, D. ; Good, M.L. ; Grannis, P.D. ; et al.
Phys.Rev.D 17 (1978) 16, 1978.
Inspire Record 728 DOI 10.17182/hepdata.24451

We have measured the reaction cross section for p¯p→n¯n in small momentum steps between 0.97 and 3.13 Gev/c to a high level of statistical accuracy. Structures are observed in the vicinity of Plab=1.25 GeVc and 1.8 GeVc which are consistent with the structure observed in the p¯p total cross section.

Multiplicities, topological cross-sections, and single particle inclusive distributions from p p interactions at 12-GeV/c and 24-GeV/c

Nucl.Phys.B 69 (1974) 454-492, 1974.
Inspire Record 94379 DOI 10.17182/hepdata.32358

Results on multiplicities, topological cross sections, total particle production cross sections, and correlations between charged particle and π 0 production are presented for pp interactions at 12 and 24 GeV/ c incident laboratory momentum. Inclusive production of π ± , K s 0 , p , Λ, Σ ± and Λ is studied; particle spectra are shown in single and double differential form and are compared, in different kinematic regions, with data obtained at other incident momenta and with other beam particles.

The Ratio of Deep - Inelastic e-n to e-p Cross-Sections in the Threshold Region

Bodek, A. ; Dubin, D.L. ; Elias, J.E. ; et al.
Phys.Lett.B 51 (1974) 417-420, 1974.
Inspire Record 91646 DOI 10.17182/hepdata.27946

We report measurements of the ratio of the deep-inelastic electron-neutron to electron-proton differential cross sections in the threshold ( ω <3) region. The ratio was found to scale and to decrease monotically with decreasing ω . No violation of the quark model lower bound of 0.25 was observed in the ratio.

Further observation of muonless neutrino-induced inelastic interactions.

Aubert, Bernard ; Benvenuti, A.C. ; Cline, D. ; et al.
Phys.Rev.Lett. 32 (1974) 1454-1457, 1974.
Inspire Record 882 DOI 10.17182/hepdata.21934

We report here additional positive results of a search for muonless neutrino- and anti-neutrino-induced events using an enriched antineutrino beam and a muon identifier of relatively high geometric detection efficiency. The ratio of muonless to muon event rates is observed to be R=0.20±0.05. We observe no background derived from ordinary neutrino or antineutrino interactions that is capable of explaining the muonless signal.

Evidence for Unnatural Spin - Parity States of (K pi pi)0 in the Charge Exchange Reaction K- p --> (anti-K0 pi+ pi-) n

A partial-wave analysis of the (K ππ ) 0 system produced in the charge exchange reaction K − p →( K 0 π + π − ) n has been made in the mass range 1.04 ⩽ M (K ππ ) < 1.56 GeV c data at 8, 10 and 16 GeV/ c . It was found that in about 2 3 of the cases, the (K ππ ) 0 system is produced in states of unnatural spin-parity, namely J P = 0 − and 1 + ; the rest is in the natural spin-parity state J P = 2 + state is consistent with being all K ∗ (1420). The unnatural spin-parity states are produced mostly (∼ 80% of the events) by natural parity exchange. The facts that unnatural spin-parity states are produced in this non-diffractive channel, with J P = 1 + dominant, and that the exchange responsible for their production is mostly of natural parity, are similar to what was found for the charged (K ππ ) − system in the diffractive reaction K − p→(K ππ ) − p. However, the absolute value and the energy dependence of the cross sections are very different in the two cases.
