A data-driven method was applied to measurements of Au+Au collisions at $\sqrt{s_{_{\rm NN}}} =$ 200 GeV made with the STAR detector at RHIC to isolate pseudorapidity distance $\Delta\eta$-dependent and $\Delta\eta$-independent correlations by using two- and four-particle azimuthal cumulant measurements. We identified a component of the correlation that is $\Delta\eta$-independent, which is likely dominated by anisotropic flow and flow fluctuations. It was also found to be independent of $\eta$ within the measured range of pseudorapidity $|\eta|<1$. The relative flow fluctuation was found to be $34\% \pm 2\% (stat.) \pm 3\% (sys.)$ for particles of transverse momentum $p_{T}$ less than $2$ GeV/$c$. The $\Delta\eta$-dependent part may be attributed to nonflow correlations, and is found to be $5\% \pm 2\% (sys.)$ relative to the flow of the measured second harmonic cumulant at $|\Delta\eta| > 0.7$.
The second harmonic two-particle cumulants for ($\eta_{\alpha}$, $\eta_{\beta}$ pairs for 20-30% central Au+Au collisions at $\sqrt{s_{NN}}$ = 200 GeV.
The third harmonic two-particle cumulants for ($\eta_{\alpha}$, $\eta_{\beta}$ pairs for 20-30% central Au+Au collisions at $\sqrt{s_{NN}}$ = 200 GeV.
The second harmonic four-particle cumulant for ($\eta_{\alpha}$, $\eta_{\alpha}$, $\eta_{\beta}$, $\eta_{\beta}$) quadruplets for 20-30% central Au+Au collisions at $\sqrt{s_{NN}}$ = 200 GeV.
Neutral and charged two-pion production in p+d→ 3 He+2 π reactions has been studied at CELSIUS at a proton beam energy of 477 MeV. The total cross section for double pion production is 0.22±0.03 μ b. The ratio of the cross sections for the production of charged pion pairs with isospin T =1 and T =0 was determined to be σ ( π + π − ; T =1)/ σ ( π + π − ; T =0)=1.4±0.4.
(I=1, I=0) stands for isospin of PI+ PI- system.

First results are reported on J ψ and Drell-Yan cross-sections in PbPb reactions at 158 GeV/ c per nucleon. The ratio of cross-sections σ J/ψ /σ DY is studied as a function of the impact parameter of the collision estimated from the measured transverse energy.

We present a study of J/ψ and ψ(2S) production in pp¯ collisions, at s=1.8TeV with the CDF detector at Fermilab. The J/ψ and ψ(2S) mesons are reconstructed using their μ+μ− decay modes. We have measured the inclusive production cross section for both mesons as a function of their transverse momentum in the central region, |η|<0.6. We also measure the fraction of these events originating from b hadrons. We thus extract individual cross sections for J/ψ and ψ(2S) mesons from b-quark decays and prompt production. We find a large excess (approximately a factor of 50) of direct ψ(2S) production compared with predictions from the color singlet model.

Differential cross section times branching ratio for PSI(2S) originating from b hadron decays.
We have measured the production cross-section times branching ratio for J/ψ→μ + μ − in pp̄ interactions at √ s = 630 GeV in the kinematic range |y|<2.0 and p T >5 GeV /c, BR ( J /ψ→μ + μ − )σ( p p ̄ → J /ψ)=6.18±0.24±0.81 nb . The data sample collected in 1988 and 1989 for an integrated luminosity of 4.7 pb −1 represents a fivefold improvement over the statistics in our earlier study of the J / ψ production process, and the p T distribution which is measured extends to 28 GeV / c . Using event topology we show that the rate for the direct production of J / ψ , via radiative decays of χ states, is larger than that for production via B-hadrons. Production of ψ′ is also studied using the decay modes < ψ ′→ μ + μ − and ψ ′→ J / ψπ + ψ − .

The production of Jψ mesons in Z0 decays is studied using 3.6 million hadronic events recorded by the OPAL detector at LEP. The inclusive Z0 to Jψ and b-quark to Jψ branching ratios are measured from the total yield of Jψ mesons, identified from their decays into lepton pairs. The Jψ momentum distribution is used to study the fragmentation of b-quarks. The production rate of ψ′ mesons, identified from their decays into a Jψ and a π+π− pair, is measured as well. The following results are obtained: ${Br(Z^{0}⌝ghtarrow {⤪ J}/ i X)=(3.9pm 0.2pm 0.3)cdot 10^{-3} {⤪ and} ↦op Br(Z^0⌝ghtarrow i ^⌕ime X)=(1.6pm 0.3pm 0.2)cdot 10^{-3}, }$ where the first error is statistical and the second systematic. Finally the Jψ sample is used to reconstruct exclusive b-hadron decays and calculate the corresponding b-hadron branching ratios and masses.

J/psi production has been measured in proton-proton collisions at sqrt(s)= 200 GeV over a wide rapidity and transverse momentum range by the PHENIX experiment at RHIC. Distributions of the rapidity and transverse momentum, along with measurements of the mean transverse momentum and total production cross section are presented and compared to available theoretical calculations. The total J/psi cross section is 3.99 +/- 0.61(stat) +/- 0.58(sys) +/- 0.40(abs) micro barns. The mean transverse momentum is 1.80 +/- 0.23(stat) +/- 0.16(sys) GeV/c.
Measured J/PSI distribution in PT for the e+e- channel. The value of B, the branching fraction to either electrons or muons is the average value from PDG : 5.9%.The rapidity range is -0.35<y<0.35. Incertainties are 1-sigma statistical errors on the (signal - background) net yield. There is a 10% overall absolute cross section normalization error in addition to the error given.

We have studied J ψ production in p p collisions at s = 1.8 TeV with the DØ detector at Fermilab using μ + μ − data. We have measured the inclusive J ψ production cross section as a function of J ψ transverse momentum, p T . For the kinematic range p T > 8 GeV/ c and |η| < 0.6 we obtain σ(p p → J ψ + X) · Br ( J ψ → μ + μ − ) = 2.08 ± 0.17( stat) ± 0.46(syst) nb. Using the muon impact parameter we have estimated the fraction of J ψ mesons coming from B meson decays to be f b = 0.35 ± 0.09(stat)±0.10(syst) and inferred the inclusive b production cross section. From the information on the event topology the fraction of nonisolated J ψ events has been measured to be f nonisol = 0.64 ± 0.08(stat)±0.06(syst). We have also obtained the fraction of J ψ events resulting from radiative decays of χ c states, f χ = 0.32 ± 0.07(stat)±0.07(syst). We discuss the implications of our measurements for charmonium production processes.

The statistics available allow a detailed measurement of both the pT and rapidity distributions and are sufficient to constrain production models. J/PSI differential cross section, times dilepton branching ratio, versus transverse momentum PT, at mid rapidity : -0.35<y<0.35.
J/PSI differential cross section, times dilepton branching ratio, versus transverse momentum PT, at forward rapidities : absolute value of y belongs to [1.2;2.2].
Mean PT^2 value at mid rapidities : -0.35<y<0.35 The mean PT is obtained with a phenomonological fit of the J/PSI distribution in PT of the form (1/(2*PI*PT))*D(SIG)/DPT = A ( 1+(PT/B)^2)^-6 .The systematic error includes the incertainty from the maximum shape deviation permitted by the point-to-point correlated errors and from allowing the exponent of the fit fonctionto be a free parameter.
