INCLUSIVE SPECTRA OF CHARGED HADRONS FROM psi AND psi-prime DECAYS

The inclusive charged-hadron momentum spectra from the ψ and ψ′ decays produced in e+e− collisions at SPEAR are presented. The data were obtained with a small solid-angle, single-arm magnetic spectrometer with good particle-identification abilities centered at 90 degrees with respect to the beams. The particle-separated invariant cross sections are compared with data from e+e− collisions at s=4.8 and 7.3 GeV, obtained with the same spectrometer, in order to observe the difference between hadron production at the resonances and in the continuum.

PRODUCTION RATIOS FOR HADRONS PRODUCED IN MUON PROTON INELASTIC SCATTERING AT 219-GEV

Results on kaon, pion, and proton production in muon-proton scattering are presented for 1<Q2<80 GeV2 with an average Bjorken x of 0.033. The measured particle fractions for z>0.2(z=Phadν) are fπ=0.764±0.028, fK=0.187±0.042, and fp=0.049±0.013. The K±π± ratios as a function of z and pT2 are presented: The ratios increase with z, and with pT2 for z<0.3.

The cross section of the reaction e + e − → K + K − has been measured at the electron-positron storage ring VEPP-2M in the c.m. energy range 1.0–1.4 GeV. At energies above 1.15 GeV the experimental values of the charged kaon form factor considerably exceed the predictions of the simplest vector dominance model with ϱ, ω, ψ mesons.
