This paper summarizes the measurements one+e− annihilation performed by the DASP Collaboration in the energy range between 3.1 and 5.2 GeV. The following topics are covered: total cross section, production and two body decays of the narrow resonances, radiative decays of theJ/ψ and ψ′ resonances and evidence for theX(2.82), ψ′ cascade decays, inclusive η production and evidence for theF meson, semileptonic decays of charmed mesons and properties of the heavy lepton.

INCLUSIVE DELTA++ (1232) AND SIGMA+- (1385) PRODUCTION IN K- P INTERACTIONS AT 32-GEV/C. FRANCE-SOVIET UNION AND CERN-SOVIET UNION COLLABORATIONS

Z.Phys.C 3 (1979) 89-95, 1979.
Inspire Record 148164 DOI 10.17182/hepdata.15987

We have studied inclusiveΔ++ (1232),∑+ (1385), and∑− (1385) baryon resonance production inK−p interactions at 32 GeV/c. The inclusive and topological cross sections are estimated and compared with published results at lower energies. No energy variation of the cross section is observed forΔ++ (1232) and only a slight decrease is seen in case of∑± (1385). The production properties are investigated through longitudinal and transverse momentum distributions. TheΔ++ (1232) is dominantly produced in the target fragmentation region. The∑+ (1385) is produced both in the target fragmentation region and in the central region, while the∑− (1385) is predominantly produced in the central region. About 20% of the final state protons are produced via aΔ++ (1232) decay and about 25% of the Λ produced come from the decay of∑+ (1385) and∑− (1385).

COMPARISON OF DIRECT PHOTON PRODUCTION IN P P COLLISIONS AT S**(1/2) = 30.6-GEV AND 53.2-GEV

Phys.Lett.B 84 (1979) 360-362, 1979.
Inspire Record 146580 DOI 10.17182/hepdata.27321

We present data obtained at the ISR, on the determination of the ratio R = γ π 0 at s = 30.6 GeV and we compare the results with our previous measurement at s = 53.2 GeV. The ratio R = γ π 0 integrated over the interval 0.1 ⩽ χ T ⩽ 0.2 is (1.6 ± 0.5) × 10 −2 and we obtain an indication of a universal χ T dependence.

CHARGED AND NEUTRAL PARTICLE PRODUCTION FROM 400-GEV/C P P COLLISIONS

Phys.Rev.D 20 (1979) 605-614, 1979.
Inspire Record 146628 DOI 10.17182/hepdata.24207

Charged- and neutral-particle production from 400-GeV/c pp collisions are measured simultaneously using the Fermilab 15-ft bubble chamber. The π0 and K0 cross sections are rising at Fermilab energies, while the Λ0 cross section remains fairly constant. Similarly, the average number of π0's and K0's increases as a function of the number of negative particles in an event, yet no such dependence is noted for the Λ0's. The ratio of average number of π0 to average number of π− per inelastic collisions is found to be constant at Serpukhov and Fermilab energies (40 to 400 GeV/c) and equal to 1.22±0.02. Cross sections for Σ0 and Σ¯0 production are measured and limits are found for η0 and ω0 production. Neutral- and charged-pion correlations are compared with five pion-production models.

INCLUSIVE PRODUCTION OF XI- AND XI* (1530) IN K- p INTERACTIONS AT 10-GeV/c AND 16-GeV/c

The Aachen-Berlin-CERN-London-Vienna collaboration Sixel, P. ; Bottcher, H. ; Klein, R. ; et al.
Nucl.Phys.B 159 (1979) 125, 1979.
Inspire Record 147310 DOI 10.17182/hepdata.34625

The inclusive production of Ξ − and Ξ ∗0 (1530) is investigated in K − p interactions at 10 and 16 GeV/ c . The inclusive production cross sections are 172 ± 20 μ b and 135 ± 15 μ b for the Ξ − , and 43 ± 7 μ b and 32 ± 5 μ b for the Ξ ∗0 (1530) at 10 and 16 GeV /c , respectively. In the beam momentum range up to 16 GeV/ c , the energy dependence of the cross section for Ξ − production in K − p interactions is similar to Σ − production in π − p interactions. It is, instead, different from the energy behaviour of Σ − production cross sections observed in π − p interactions. The Ξ − and Ξ ∗0 (1530) are both produced more in the forward ( x > 0) than in the backward hemisphere, indicating the presence of hyperon-exchange processes.

TWO-BODY HYPERCHARGE EXCHANGE REACTIONS IN K- p AND pi+ p INTERACTIONS AT 10-GeV/c AND 16-GeV/c

Nucl.Phys.B 159 (1979) 397, 1979.
Inspire Record 146303 DOI 10.17182/hepdata.34626

Cross-section values or upper limits are presented for twenty-five two-body hypercharge-exchange reactions in K − p and π + p interactions at 10 and 16 GeV/ c . The 16 GeV/ c results are compared with some predictions of line-reversal plus exchange-degenerate Regge poles, of SU(3) and of the additive quark model. Agreement is found in all cases.

ELASTIC SCATTERING AND OMEGA MESON PRODUCTION NEAR THE THRESHOLD OF PI- P ---> OMEGA N

Karami, H. ; Carr, J. ; Debenham, N.C. ; et al.
Nucl.Phys.B 154 (1979) 503-518, 1979.
Inspire Record 146573 DOI 10.17182/hepdata.34745

Measurements are reported of the differential cross section for the reaction π − +p→ ω +n from threshold to a final-state c.m. momentum P ∗ of 200 MeV /c . The previously reported fall in total cross section σ/P ∗ below about 100 MeV/ c is again seen. The differential cross section remains close to isotropic over the entire range. A paralle experiment on the variation in the elastic differential cross section across the threshold shows evidence of this threshold. The elastic data cover a range of incident moments from 1010 to 1180 MeV/ c in steps of 5 MeV/ c .

SINGLE DIRECT PHOTON PRODUCTION IN P P COLLISIONS AT S**(1/2) = 53.2-GEV IN THE P(T) INTERVAL 2.3-GEV/C TO 5.7-GEV/C

We report the results of an experiment made at the CERN ISR to investigate the possible diret production of single photons in pp collisions at √ s = 53.2 GeV at 90° and in the p t interval 2.3 to 5.7 GeV/ c . The value of the ratio R = n γ / n π 0 is compatible with zero for low p t ⪅ 3 GeV/ c but, in spite of the large error, shows a trend to increase for larger p t .
