The total cross section for photoproduction of hadrons on the deutron, σ T d , has been measured for photon energies in the range 0.265–40215 GeV. From this, using results for the photon total cross section, obtained previously with the same apparatus, the neutron total cross section has been determined in the resonance region. The resonant structure is found to be quite different from that for the proton. Thereafter the neutron cross section falls off steadily with energy, and the values obtained are consistently lower than those for the proton. Forward scattering amplitudes have been evaluated for the deuteron.

HIGHER ENERGY CROSS SECTIONS, IN 200 MEV BINS. OVERALL 3 PCT SYSTEMATIC ERROR IN ADDITION TO QUOTED STATISTICAL ERRORS. NEUTRON/PROTON CROSS SECTION RATIO HAS MEAN VALUE OF 0.94 +- 0.01.
We present results on the differential cross sections for the process K + n → K 0 p extracted from the reaction K + d → K 0 pp measured at 13 momenta between 0.64 and 1.51 GeV/ c .
THESE TOTAL CROSS SECTIONS WERE PRESENTED WITH MORE EXPERIMENTAL DETAILS IN G. GIACOMELLI ET AL., NP B37, 577 (1972).
REACTION HAS A SPECTATOR PROTON. THESE ARE NOT FREE NEUTRON CROSS SECTIONS. A 250 MEV/C MOMENTUM CUT IS APPLIED TO THE SPECTATOR MOMENTUM AND D(SIG)/DOMEGA THEN NORMALIZED TO THE UNCUT TOTAL CROSS SECTION FOR K+ DEUT --> K0 P P.
Measurements have been made of the polarization of the recoil proton in the process γ p → π o p for photon energies of 850 - 1250 MeV and centre-of-mass angles of 80° - 125°. The results, which are to a typical accuracy of ±0.09, show a marked disagreement with previous phenomenological analyses above 1000 MeV.

Using the electron-position storage ring VEPP-2 an experiment has been performed in which the cross-sections of the reactions e + e − → π + π − and e + e − →K + K − were measured in the energy regi on 1.18–1.34 GeV. The experimental values of the formfactors lie higher than curves extrapolated from the ϱ- and ϕ-meson region.

The proof is given for the existence of the reaction e + e − → h ± h ∓ in the energy range 1400–2400 MeV, and its energy dependence is compared with that of e + e − → e ± e ∓ , in the same experimental conditions of observation. The exponent of the s -dependence of the ratio α = (e + e − → h ± h ∓ )/ (e + e − → e ± e ∓ ) is measured to be n = 2.08 ± 0.45, in the s -range (1.96 − 5.76) GeV 2 , on the basis of 51 e + e − → h ± h ∓ events and 8918 e + e − → e ± e ∓ events observed.
CROSS SECTION FOR PRODUCTION OF CHARGED HADRON PAIRS.
Differential cross sections for single photoproduction of neutral pion on neutron have been measured at different c.m. angles for photon energies, between 450–800 MeV.

The polarisation of the recoil sigma in the reaction π + p → K + Σ + has been measured at 12 production angles at a beam momentum of 1.11 GeV /c using counters and spark chambers. The new data are compared with existing phase shift solutions of π p → K Σ channels in the low energy region.
THE ASYMMETRY PARAMETER, ALPHA, FOR SIGMA+ --> P PI0 IS CLOSE TO -1. THE LAST DATA VALUE IS DEDUCED FROM ALL THE EXPERIMENTAL EVENTS.
