We present a measurement of the cross section for hadron production by e+e− annihilation in the vicinity of the previously observed resonance near 3.77 GeV. The data are used to determine the parameters of the ψ(3770) resonance. The values found are: mass, 3764±5 MeV/c2, total width, 23.5±5 MeV, and partial width to electron pairs, 276±50 eV.

With an apparatus slightly improved with respect to a previous one we have studied multihadronic production at the Adone e + e − storage ring up to a maximum center of mass energy of 3 GeV.

We have searched for possible narrow resonances produced in e + e − annihilation at Adone, in the mass regions 1910–2545 MeV and 2970–3090 MeV. No evidence has been found for narrow resonances, within the sensitivity of the present work: we deduce an upper limit on the energy integrated resonant cross section of about 10% of the J/ψ(3100) corresponding value.

A search for narrow resonances in the reaction e + e − → hadrons in the mass regions 1915–2345 MeV and 2970–3090 MeV has been perforned at ADONE, the Frascati storage ring. With 90% confidence level our data exclude the production of narrow resonances with integrated cross section larger than 20% of the integrated cross section for production of the J/Ψ (3100 MeV).

We present experimental evidence for a resonant behaviour of the hadron production from e + e − annihilations at the e + e − storage ring ADONE. A Breit-Wigner fit to the enhancement present between 1800 and 1850 MeV gives the following parameters M = 1812 −13 +7 MeV, Γ = 34 −15 +21 MeV.
MULTIHADRON EVENTS (AT LEAST THREE CHARGED TRACKS) PER UNIT LUMINOSITY.
Multihadron production has been measured at the Adone e + e − storage ring in the c.m. energy region 1600 ÷ 1900 MeV. A resonant behaviour is observed, centered at 1819 ± 5 (±2) MeV, with a width of 24 ± 5 (±4) MeV. This effect is observed only in the events with 3 or 4 charged particles together with photons, but not in those without photons.
