Inclusive Production of $\rho^0$ and $\phi$ in $K^+ p$ Interactions at 32-{GeV}/c

Inclusive ϱ 0 and φ production is investigated in K + p interactions at 32 GeV/ c . Total and semi-inclusive ϱ 0 and φ cross sections, longitudinal and transverse momentum distributions, including 〈 P T versus x dependence are presented. No evidence for a sea-gull effect is observed. Comparison with quark models strongly suggests the possibility that a large fraction of the ϱ 0 and vector mesons are produced as fragmentation products of the incident particles. Study of uncorrelated π + π − pairs in the ϱ 0 mass range provides possible indirect evidence for the existence of diquarks in the proton.

Measurement of the Reaction $e^+ e^- \to \gamma \gamma$ at {CMS} Energies From 9.4-{GeV} to 31.6-{GeV}

Phys.Lett.B 94 (1980) 87-90, 1980.
Inspire Record 153120 DOI 10.17182/hepdata.27174

The differential cross section for the reaction e + e − → γγ has been measured in the CMS energy range between 9.4 and 31.6 GeV. The results are found to be in agreement with the predictions of quantum electrodynamics up to momentum transfers- q 2 of 900 GeV 2 . The data set lower limits of about 40 GeV on QED cut-off parameters. We have searched for the decay υ (9.46) → γγ and obtain an upper limit Γ ( υ → γγ )/ Γ ( υ → all) < 1.4% (95% c.l.).

Unique Solution for the Weak Neutral Current Coupling Constants in Purely Leptonic Interactions

By combining results from the MARK-J at PETRA on Bhabha scattering, μ + μ - and τ + τ - production with recent world data from neutrino-electron scattering experiments, we determine unique values for the leptonic weak neutral current coupling constants g V and g A in the framework of electroweak models containing a single Z 0 . In contrast to previous analyses, we only use data from purely leptonic interactions, and therefore avoid the inherent uncertainties resulting from the use of hadronic targets. From the MARK-J data alone in the context of the standard SU(2) ⊗ U (1) model of Glashow, Weinberg and Salam, we find sin 2 θ W =0.24±0.11.

Energy-energy Correlations in $e^+ e^-$ Annihilation Into Hadrons

Phys.Lett.B 99 (1981) 292, 1981.
Inspire Record 156315 DOI 10.17182/hepdata.6228

Measurements of energy-energy correlations in hadronic final states produced in e + e − annihilation at c.m. energies between 7.7 and 31.6 GeV are presented. The data are compared to perturbative QCD predictions. Good qualitative agreement above 20 GeV c.m. energy is found. The importance of non-perturbative effects is discussed, as well as the detailed behaviour of the correlation near 180°.
