Difference of nonannihilation anti-p p interactions at 22.4-GeV/c from p p interactions at close energy

Batyunya, B.V. ;
JINR-1-89-28, 1989.
Inspire Record 292242 DOI 10.17182/hepdata.54979

The longitudinal and transverse momentum distributions of protons and π±-mesons, produced and pp interactions at close energy (22-24 GeV), are compared. The existence of a difference between these (P<1.2 GeV/c in laboratory system) and for mesons accompaying them, is shown. The observed difference increases with increasing the multiplicity of charged particles. For π+ mesons it increases with decreasing the momentum of accompaying protons. These effects do not practically exist for π- mesons

Transverse momentum of J / psi produced in oxygen uranium collisions at 200-GeV per nucleon.

Phys.Lett.B 251 (1990) 465-471, 1990.
Inspire Record 306053 DOI 10.17182/hepdata.29526

The study of the J ψ transverse momentum distribution in oxygen-uranium reactions at 200 GeV/nucleon shows that 〈 P T 〉 and 〈 P T 2 〉 increase with the transverse energy of the reaction. Muon pairs in the mass continuum do not exhibit the same behaviour. The comparison of the J ψ production rates in central and peripheral collisions shows a significant diminution for low P T central events.

Dimuon production m p-U, O-U and S-U collisions has been studied at 200 GeV/N. It is observed that 〈 p T 〉 and 〈 p 2 T 〉 of the J / Ψ transverse momentum distributions increase with the transverse energy of the ion induced reactions. Such a marked behaviour is not seen for muon pairs of the continuum.

Hadroproduction of D anti-D pairs in the interaction of 350-GeV/c pi- mesons with nuclei

The WA75 collaboration Aoki, S. ; Baroni, G. ; Bisi, V. ; et al.
Prog.Theor.Phys. 87 (1992) 1315-1322, 1992.
Inspire Record 322545 DOI 10.17182/hepdata.48517

Results are presented on the production characteristics of charmed particles obtained from the WA75 emulsion hybrid experiment. The events, selected by the presence of a muon with a high momentum transverse to the beam direction, were located and analysed in nuclear emulsions. Inclusive and correlation properties are systematically compared with the lowest-order QCD calculations for DD hadroproduction. Results concerning the correlation properties indicate some contribution from next-to-leading order [O(α_S^3)] subprocesses.

Data are presented on inclusiveKs0 and Λ production inK+ and π+ collisions with Al and Au nuclei at 250 GeV/c. Results are given on total inclusive cross sections and theA dependence, as well as on distributions in Feynman-xF, rapidityy and transverse momentum. Ratios ofKS0 and of Λ to π+ production are presented. The data are compared with predictions of the quark-parton model FRITIOF.

Experimental study of b quark jets in e+ e- annihilation at TRISTAN

The TOPAZ collaboration Nagai, K. ; Enomoto, R. ; Abe, T. ; et al.
Phys.Lett.B 278 (1992) 506-510, 1992.
Inspire Record 333342 DOI 10.17182/hepdata.29230

An experimental study of b-quark jets using high- p T electrons was carried out at √ s =58 GeV with the TOPAZ detector at the e + e − collider TRISTAN at KEK. The forward-backward charge asymmetry of the b-quark was obtained to be A b b ̄ =−0.55±0.27( stat. )±0.07( syst. ) , consistent with the standard model prediction. Also, such jet properties of the b-quark as the average charged multiplicity and the rapidity of charged particles were analyzed. In order to purify the b-quark event samples in this analysis, only events with backward-going electrons or forward-going positrons were used. The energy dependence of these jet properties was studied by making comparisons with the results of the DELCO experiment at the PEP collider (√ s =29 GeV) at SLAC.

Production of neutral strange particles in muon - nucleon scattering at 490-GeV

Z.Phys.C 61 (1994) 539-550, 1994.
Inspire Record 362429 DOI 10.17182/hepdata.42473

The production ofK0, Λ and\(\bar \Lambda \) particles is studied in the E665 muon-nucleon experiment at Fermilab. The average multiplicities and squared transverse momenta are measured as a function ofxF andW2. Most features of the data can be well described by the Lund model. Within this model, the data on the K0/π± ratios and on the averageK0 multiplicity in the forward region favor a strangeness suppression factors/u in the fragmentation process near 0.20. Clear evidence for QCD effects is seen in the average squared transverse momentum ofK0 and Λ particles.

Energy flow and charged particle spectrum in deep inelastic scattering at HERA

The H1 collaboration Abt, I. ; Ahmed, T. ; Andreev, V. ; et al.
Z.Phys.C 63 (1994) 377-390, 1994.
Inspire Record 372350 DOI 10.17182/hepdata.45101

Global properties of the hadronic final state in deep inelastic scattering events at HERA are investigated. The data are corrected for detector effects and are compared directly with QCD phenomenology. Energy flows in both the laboratory frame and the hadronic centre of mass system and energy-energy correlations in the laboratory frame are presented. Comparing various QCD models, the colour dipole model provides the only satisfactory description of the data. In the hadronic centre of mass system the momentum components of charged particles longitudinal and transverse to the virtual boson direction are measured and compared with lower energy lepton-nucleon scattering data as well as withe+e− dat from LEP.
