Elastic scattering of antiprotons on polarized protons at 1.73, 2.13, 2.37 and 2.97 GeV/c

Differential cross section and polarization distributions are presented for elastic p p scattering at incident momenta of 1.73, 2.13, 2.37 and 2.97 GeV/ c . The data have been analysed in terms of a 5-parameter diffraction model. In terms of this model the difference in the shape of the differential cross sections for p p and pp elastic scattering is a result of the strong absorption in the p p system.

Measurement of the reactions $K^+ d\to K^+ d$ and $K^+ d \to p^+ p n$ and an investigation of elastic $K^+$-nucleon scattering at 4.6 GeV/ c

Inspire Record 1392684 DOI 10.17182/hepdata.26096

The coherent elastic reaction K + d → K + d and the break-up reaction K + d → K + pn are studied in a K + d experiment at 4.6 GeV/ c which the CERN 2 m bubble chamber. Partial and differential cross sections are given and the slopes of the differential cross sections are determined. The results for the reaction K + d → K + p(n s ), where n s denotes the spectator neutron, are compared with those of the reaction K + p → K + p on free protons. Combining our data with existing data on the reactions K + d → K 0 pp and K + p → K + p, parameters of the elastic K + -nucleon scattering at 4.6 GeV/ c are determined in the framework of the Glauber model. The D-wave of the deuteron and spin-flip effects are taken into account.

Resonance production and clustering effects in reactions $K^− p \to \Lambda^0$ + pions at an incident beam momentum 8.25 GeV/c

We have estimated cross sections for the production of resonances in the reactions K − p → Λ 0 + pions. The data have also been analysed by a method which examines event-to-event fluctuations. Within the framework of the simple parametrization of resonance production assumed, the contribution from the resonances is insufficient to explain the observed fluctuations in the longitudinal emission of the final-state particles. These features are well reproduced by an independent cluster emission model.

A measurement of the spin correlation parameter C NN (θ) in n-p scattering at 181 MeV

Sowinski, J. ; Byrd, R.C. ; Jacobs, W.W. ; et al.
Phys.Lett.B 199 (1987) 341-345, 1987.
Inspire Record 1392688 DOI 10.17182/hepdata.30055

The spin correlation parameter C NN has been measured for n-p elastic scattering at 181 MeV. A comparison with predictions from various phase shift sets and potential models reveals sizeable deviations from the for the data Paris potential and Saclay phase shifts. For the Paris potential the deviations are directly related to an overprediction of the 3 D 2 phase shift parameter.

Pion production with polarized photons and test of vector dominance model

Geweniger, Chr. ; Heide, P. ; Kötz, U. ; et al.
Phys.Lett.B 28 (1968) 155-156, 1968.
Inspire Record 1392676 DOI 10.17182/hepdata.29098

Cross section asymmetries for the sum of single π + and π - production with polarized photons of 3.4 GeV have been measured. The results disagree with calculations based on the vector dominance model using experimental data of vector meson production in π beams.
