Total cross sections have been measured for H, He, 6 Li, C, O and Pb targets for 1 GeV incident energy protons. From the differential elastic scattering data published elsewhere, we also obtain the total elastic scattering and reaction cross sections for H, He, C and O. When our data are combined with other measurements in the same energy region, it is found that the total and reaction cross sections can be fit by the formulae σ T = 47 A 0.82 and σ R = 42 A 0.67 mb. It is also observed that the total and reaction cross sections for negative pions on nuclei can also be fit with these same A -dependencies.

The cross section for the reaction PBAR P --> INELASTIC comprises pion production without annihilation and without strange particle production.
At an incident kaon momentum of 2.66 GeV/ c we have measured the total and elastic cross sections to be 30.2 and 5.70 mb respectively. The elastic scattering angular distribution is dominated by a single diffraction peak; and when this peak is fit to an exponential in momentum transfer t , the first order term is both necessary and sufficient. This fit evaluated at t =0 is consistent with a purely imaginary forward scattering amplitude. Our data when compared with that of others indicates no shrinkage of the diffraction peak. The entire angular distribution was also fit to a Legendre series, with order 9 being required to represent the data.
Axis error includes +- 0.0/0.0 contribution (?////).
The results of measurement of differential cross sections for the process γp → nπ + are presented for γ-ray energies 260, 290, 320 MeV and pion angles 90°–180°.
Only statistical errors are given.
The cross sections for π + π − , K + K − , and K 0 K 0 final states from 2.7 GeV/ c p p interactions are: 28±9 γ b, 3 +6 −3 γb, and < 10 γb respectively. Angular distributions are presented and discussed.
Axis error includes +- 0.0/0.0 contribution (?////Due to contamination by other final states).
Reactions involving Λ and Σ 0 production are studied in 7.3 GeV/ c K + p interactions. Cross sections and angular distributions are given.
Axis error includes +- 0.0/0.0 contribution (?////Corrected for detection and scanning losses and LAMBDAbar neutral decay modes).
The momentum spectrum of 4 He produced at 0 o lab. by deuteron collisions at 1.69 GeV/ c , has been measured to determine possible π-π resonances of low effective mass values. No significant deviations from phase space are found. The total cross sections for the reaction d + d → 4 He + 2π is found to be (0.6±0.2) × × 10 −30 cm 2 .

1691 events were fitted to K - p elastic scatters at a K - momentum of 3.46 GeV/ c . The differential cross section as a function of 4 momentum transfer was fitted to exp ( A + Bt + Ct 2 ) with A = 3.7 B = 8.7 ( GeV / c ) −2 and C = 2.0 ( GeV / c ) −4 . The distribution is consistent with zero real part for the forward scattering amplitude.
D(SIG)/D(T) was fitted to EXP(CONST+SLOPE*T+SLOPE*T**2).
Annihilations of 5.7 GeV/ c antiprotons in hydrogen into four charged pions have been studied. Production of ϱ o and f o mesons and a possible enhancement in both π ± π ± and π + π − mass distributions at 1.54 GeV is seen. Upper limits for quasi 2-body annihilations are given.

The total pair production cross section for photons of energies 1.200 to 4.050 GeV has been measured for targets of carbon, aluminium, copper and lead by a good geometry absorption technique. The accuracy of the work is ± 0.3%.
The errors are the sum in quadrature of the statistical and systematical errors.
