The v and v nucleon total cross-sections have been determined as a function of energy using a sample of 2500 v and 950 v event. The results are compared with predictions of scaling and charge symmetry hypotheses.

Comparisons of Deep Inelastic e p and e n Cross-Sections

Bodek, A. ; Breidenbach, M. ; Dubin, D.L. ; et al.

Inspire Record 83716 DOI 10.17182/hepdata.21415

Cross sections for inelastic scattering of electrons from hydrogen and deuterium were measured for incident energies from 4.5 to 18 GeV, at scattering angles of 18°, 26°, and 34°, and covering a range of squared four-momentum transfers up to 20 (GeVc)2. Neutron cross sections were extracted from the deuterium data using an impulse approximation. Comparisons with the proton measurements show significant differences between the neutron and proton cross sections.

Inclusive single-particle distributions in $\pi^{\pm}$ $p$ reactions at 8 and 16 {GeV/c}

Bosetti, P. ; Grassler, H. ; Kirk, H. ; et al.
Nucl.Phys.B 54 (1973) 141-160, 1973.
Inspire Record 87988 DOI 10.17182/hepdata.811

Invariant single-particle cross sections for pion and proton production in π ± p interactions at 8 and 16 GeV/ c are presented in terms of integrated distributions as functions of x , reduced rapidity ζ and p ⊥ 2 , and also in terms of double differential cross sections E d 2 σ /(d x d p ⊥ 2 ) and d ζ d p ⊥ 2 ). A comparison of π ± and π − induced reactions is made and the energy dependence is discussed. It is shown that the single-particle structure function cannot be factorized in its dependece on transverse and longitudinal momentum. For the beam-unlike pion, there is an indication for factorizability in terms of rapidity and transverse momentum in a small central region.

Cross sections of common final states for K- p interactions at 8.25-GeV/c

The Athens-Democritus-Liverpool-Vienna collaboration Fry, J.R. ; Brankin, C. ; Matthews, R. ; et al.
Nucl.Phys.B 58 (1973) 408-419, 1973.
Inspire Record 83983 DOI 10.17182/hepdata.8005

Topological and channel cross sections are given for the more common final states produced in K − p interactions at 8.25 GeV/ c together with the single particle inclusive cross sections. We present cross sections for prominent resonances occurring in final states K N (nπ) and find the resonance fractions to be roughly independent of multiplicity.

A formation study of n anti-n interactions between 1.09 and 3.45 gev/c. ii. strange particles

Nucl.Phys.B 51 (1973) 57-76, 1973.
Inspire Record 84294 DOI 10.17182/hepdata.8011

A systematic study of p p and p d reactions producing strange particles between 1.09 and 3.45 GeV/ c has been completed. Reaction and resonance cross-section data are presented at 11 p p and 13 p d momentum settings. Evidence for a broad shoulder in the K K 3π final state near 1.8 GeV/ c is presented and contrasted to previously published work on a portion of the final data sample. No evidence for a p n → K 0 K − ω effect near 1.3 GeV/ c is found, ruling out an association of K K ω effects with the nearby isospin one enhancement in the total cross section. Finally, we find no evidence for a p p → K K ω enhancement near 1.8 GeV/ c .

Production of $\gamma, \Lambda^0, K^0_s$ and $\bar \Lambda^0$ in pp Collisions at 102 GeV/c.

Chapman, J.W. ; Cooper, John W. ; Green, N. ; et al.
Phys.Lett.B 47 (1973) 465-468, 1973.
Inspire Record 81963 DOI 10.17182/hepdata.28029

We have measured cross section for γ , K S °, Λ and Λ production at 102 GeV/ c and find: σ ( γ ) = 170 ± 16 mb ., σ ( K S °) = 4.6 ± 0.5 mb ., σ ( Λ ) = 3.2 ± 0.4 mb ., and σ( Λ ) = 0.23 ± 0.10 mb. Both 〈 n π °〉 and 〈 n Ks °〉 appear to rise linearly with n - while the ratio 〈 n Ks °〉/〈 n π °〉 is approximately independent of n - . The integrated invariant cross section as a function of x as well as d σ /d y and d σ /d p T 2 are presented and compared with other data.

Invariant cross-sections are presented for the inclusive reaction p + p → π o + anything, Measurements of large transverse momentum π o 's (2.5 GeV/ c < p ⊥ <9 GeV/ c ) were made near 90° at the CERN ISR at five centre-of-mass energies (√ s = 23.5, 30.6, 44.8, 52.7 and 62.4 GeV. At large p ⊥ , the invariant cross-sections are seem to vary with s and p ⊥ , in good agreement with a fit of the form Ap ⊥ − n F ( p ⊥ /√ s ), with n ≈8 and F ( p ⊥ /√ s )≈ exp (−26 p ⊥ /√ s ).

High-energy proton scattering on nuclei

Klovning, A. ; Kofoed-Hansen, O. ; Schluepmann, K. ;
Nucl.Phys.B 54 (1973) 29-41, 1973.
Inspire Record 84178 DOI 10.17182/hepdata.32651

We have studied high-energy proton scattering on Be, C, Cu and Pb targets using a single-arm spectrometer. The projectile momenta were 19 and 24 GeV/ c , the square of the four-momentum transfer varied from t = 0.1 to t = 4.4 GeV 2 . We have recorded momentum distributions of scattered protons in the high-momentum range. An application of multiple-scattering theory yielded agreement of calculation and experimental results to within a ± 30% uncertainty of the former.
