Cross sections for inelastic scattering of electrons from hydrogen and deuterium were measured for incident energies from 4.5 to 18 GeV, at scattering angles of 18°, 26°, and 34°, and covering a range of squared four-momentum transfers up to 20 (GeVc)2. Neutron cross sections were extracted from the deuterium data using an impulse approximation. Comparisons with the proton measurements show significant differences between the neutron and proton cross sections.

Phys.Rev.Lett. 30 (1973) 1183-1185, 1973.
Inspire Record 84508 DOI 10.17182/hepdata.21408

We have measured the polarization parameter in neuton-proton charge-exchange scattering for incident neutron momenta of 2-12 GeVc and 0.01<~|t|<~1.0 (GeVc)2. Results based on 300 000 events show a negative polarization whose magnitude increases monotonically with |t| approaching 60% for |t|∼0.6 and which has little energy dependence.

B MESON PRODUCTION IN pi- d INTERACTIONS AT 7-GeV/c

Cohen, Daniel H. ; Ferbel, T. ; Slattery, P. ;
Phys.Rev.D 8 (1973) 23, 1973.
Inspire Record 83692 DOI 10.17182/hepdata.22062

We observe substantial B-meson production in π−d interactions at 7 GeVc. The observed mass and width of the B are 1217 ± 12 MeV and 115 ± 40 MeV, respectively. We find that the B is produced largely in quasi-two-body final states, and, on the basis of the observed Δ0B production cross section, we expect a large πA 2B coupling which should be observable in other reactions.

Measurement of n p and n d total cross-sections from 0.7-GeV/c to 3.6-GeV/c

Inspire Record 81663 DOI 10.17182/hepdata.22079

We present direct measurements of the total cross section for neutrons on protons and deuterons in the momentum range 0.7 to 3.6 GeVc. Using these and other nucleon-nucleon total cross sections, we evaluate total cross sections in the pure isospin states.

ON INVESTIGATING ENERGY DEPENDENCE OF CROSS-SECTION FOR pi- MESON ELASTIC SCATTERING ON PROTONS IN THE INTERVAL 33-GeV/c TO 55-GeV/c

Derevshchikov, A.A. ; Matulenko, Yu.A. ; Meshchanin, A.P. ; et al.
Nucl.Phys.B 80 (1974) 442-460, 1974.
Inspire Record 80729 DOI 10.17182/hepdata.32174

The π − p differential elastic scattering cross sections have been measured for eight momenta in the 33–55 GeV/ c range. The energy dependence of the slope and of the total elastic scattering cross sections has been determined experimentally. The results are compared with the known data. The experimental data are compared both with the Regge pole model and with the quasi-potential one.

$\pi^- p$ Interactions at 205-GeV/c: Cross-Sections and Charged Particle Multiplicity.

Phys.Rev.Lett. 31 (1973) 1271-1274, 1973.
Inspire Record 81730 DOI 10.17182/hepdata.21380

Results are reported based on a study of 3114 π−p events at 205 GeV/c in the National Accelerator Laboratory 30-in. bubble chamber. The measured π−p total and elastic cross sections are 24.0 ± 0.5 and 3.0 ± 0.3 mb, respectively. The elastic differential cross section has a slope of 9.0 ± 0.7 GeV−2 for 0.03≤−t≤0.6 GeV2. The average charged-particle multiplicity for the inelastic events is 8.02 ± 0.12.

A MEASUREMENT OF POLARIZATION IN pi- p ---> K0 LAMBDA0 AT 5-GeV/c

Ward, C.E.W. ; Ambats, I. ; Lesnik, A. ; et al.
Phys.Lett.B 48 (1974) 471-473, 1974.
Inspire Record 80559 DOI 10.17182/hepdata.27997

We have measured the Λ° polarization in π − p→ K°Λ° at 5 GeV / c , using a data sample of 3709 events. The polarization is positive for small t , passes through zero near t = −0.3 (GeV/ c ) 2 , and becomes large and negative at larger t , consistent with a value of −1.0 for t between −0.7 and −1.6(GeV/ c ) 2 .

Phys.Rev.D 11 (1975) 1719-1732, 1975.
Inspire Record 81409 DOI 10.17182/hepdata.4763

We report on an experiment to obtain differential cross sections for K+p elastic scattering in the vicinity of the possible exotic baryon, the Z1*(1900). The differential cross sections are based on typically 70 000 selected events in the angular region −0.9≤cosθc.m.≤0.9 at each of 22 momenta from 0.865 to 2.125 GeV/c. The data are intended for use in partial-wave analysis to search for the Z1*.
