Nucl.Phys.B 119 (1977) 1, 1977.
Inspire Record 4308 DOI 10.17182/hepdata.35597

Data are presented on the reactions π + n → ϱ 0 + X and K − p → K ∗0 + X at 6.0 and 7.3 GeV/ c , respectively. Comparisons are made between these two reactions and with other reactions involving inclusive vector meson production at different energies.

{Drell-Yan} Events From 400-{GeV}/$c$ Protons: Determination of the $K$ Factor in a Large Kinematical Domain

The NA3 collaboration Badier, J. ; Boucrot, J. ; Bourotte, J. ; et al.
Z.Phys.C 26 (1985) 489, 1985.
Inspire Record 199644 DOI 10.17182/hepdata.16140

We present the analysis of ∼30,000 high mass dimuons (Mμμ>4.5 GeV/c2) produced in 400 GeV/c proton-platinum interactions. A determination of theK-factor is given for different values ofxF andMμμ, and its variations are compared to QCD predictions. The proton structure functions derived from these events are compared to the values obtained in deep inelastic lepton scattering.

Test of Scaling in Muon Pair Production by Hadrons

Antreasyan, D. ; Cronin, J.W. ; Frisch, Henry J. ; et al.
Phys.Rev.Lett. 39 (1977) 906, 1977.
Inspire Record 5448 DOI 10.17182/hepdata.20946

We have measured the inclusive production of massive dimuons (7<~Mμμ<~11 GeV/c2) by 200-, 300-, and 400-GeV protons incident on Cu in order to check whether the dimensionless cross section Mμμ3[dσdMμμdy]y=0 is a function of Mμμ2s alone, where s is the square of the c.m. energy. The results support the scaling hypothesis.

Diffraction Dissociation of High Energy Protons on Hydrogen and Deuterium Targets

Akimov, Y. ; Bartenev, V. ; Cool, R. ; et al.
Phys.Rev.Lett. 39 (1977) 1432, 1977.
Inspire Record 121766 DOI 10.17182/hepdata.21002

We report results from a measurement of the inclusive processes pp→Xp and pd→Xd in the range 5<Mx2s<0.1, 0.01≲|t|≲0.1 (GeV/c)2, and incident proton momenta of 65, 154, and 372 GeV/c. Both pp and pd data show an exponential t dependence and a dominant 1Mx2 behavior for Mx2s≲0.05. By comparing pp and pd data we test factorization and, using the Glauber model, we measure the XN total cross section, σXN=43±10 mb.

Measurement of the Inclusive Forward Neutron Spectrum Produced in Proton-Copper Interactions at 24-GeV/c

Ansorge, R.E. ; Carter, J.R. ; Mount, R.P. ; et al.
Nucl.Phys.B 97 (1975) 439-444, 1975.
Inspire Record 103793 DOI 10.17182/hepdata.31931

We present data on the inclusive neutron spectra produced in the forward direction by the interactions of 23.85 GeV/ c protons in a copper target. The results are in good agreement with the predictions of the triple-Regge model.

Study of scaling in hadronic production of dimuons

Yoh, J.K. ; Herb, S.W. ; Hom, D.C. ; et al.
Phys.Rev.Lett. 41 (1978) 684, 1978.
Inspire Record 130804 DOI 10.17182/hepdata.3337

We present proton-nucleus dimuon-production cross sections for masses between 4 and 15 GeV, center-of-mass rapidities between -0.23 and 0.6 and incident energies of 200, 300, and 400 GeV. The data confirm scaling to the 20% level. The dependence of continuum 〈pT〉 on beam energy is also presented.
