The ρ0-meson spin alignment is studied in p¯p interactions at 22.4 and 12 GeV/c and in the reaction p¯p→2π++2π−+neutrals at 5.7 GeV/c. An essential ρ0-meson spin alignment is observed. The values of the ρ00T element of the ρ0-meson spin-density matrix in the transversity frame are 0.56 ± 0.07, 0.53 ± 0.05, and 0.54 ± 0.04 for the above-mentioned interactions, respectively. An increase of ρ00T with ρ0 transverse momentum is obtained.

The inclusive spectra for p p collisions at 22.4 GeV/ c are investigated. We show that the transverse momentum distributions resemble those in high-energy pp interactions and discuss the influence of annihilation processes on the p T 2 distributions. The invariant inclusive cross section for pions in the central region is found to be 28 ± 1 mb. A charge asymmetry is indicated by the y ∗ spectrum in the central region, the asymmetry parameter having the value 0.15 ± 0.01. Finally, we estimate the upper limit of the diffraction dissociation of the beam particle to be 3.68 −0.15 +0.45 mb.

Invariant inclusive cross-sections for π+-mesons and protons from\(\bar pp\) reactions at 22.4 GeV/c are presented. The average multiplicity for the production of π+-mesons is 1.92±0.02 and for protons 0.41±0.02. Annihilation spectra have been approximated by using the difference between\(\bar pp\) and pp data. The resulting distributions have similar gross features as the total\(\bar pp\) data.

Correlations between pions produced in pp collisions at 69 GeV/c are observed both for π−π+ and π−π−. Short-range correlations in rapidity are present fory1⋍y2 in both cases; an enhancement is seen aroundy1=y2=±1. Correlations between transverse variables are linked to those in rapidity for π−π− combinations, whereas the effect is essentially kinematical for π+π−.

The pseudorapidity density and multiplicity distribution of charged particles produced in proton-proton collisions at the LHC, at a centre-of-mass energy $\sqrt{s} = 7$ TeV, were measured in the central pseudorapidity region |$\eta$| < 1. Comparisons are made with previous measurements at $\sqrt{s}$ = 0.9 TeV and 2.36 TeV. At $\sqrt{s}$ = 7 TeV, for events with at least one charged particle in |$\eta$| < 1, we obtain dNch/deta = 6.01 $\pm$ 0.01 (stat.) $^{+0.20}_{-0.12}$ (syst.). This corresponds to an increase of 57.6% $\pm$ 0.4% (stat.) $^{+3.6}_{-1.8}$% (syst.) relative to collisions at 0.9 TeV, significantly higher than calculations from commonly used models. The multiplicity distribution at 7 TeV is described fairly well by the negative binomial distribution.
Charged-particle pseudorapidity densities at central pseudorapidity (ETRAP from -1.0 to 1.0) for the INEL>0 class of events. Data are also given for the lower energy ALICE data.
Relative increase in pseudorapidity density between the different energies.
Multiplicity distribution normalized to the bin width in the pseudorapidity region -1.0 to 1.0 for INEL>0 collisions at a centre-of-mass energy of 7000 GeV. See the paper arXiv:1004.3034 for the lower energy data. Note that the statistical as well as the systematic uncertainties are strongly correlated between neighbouring points. See text of paper for details.
We report on a measurement of the inclusive jet cross section in $p \bar{p}$ collisions at a center-of-mass energy $\sqrt s=$1.96 TeV using data collected by the D0 experiment at the Fermilab Tevatron Collider corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 0.70 fb$^{-1}$. The data cover jet transverse momenta from 50 GeV to 600 GeV and jet rapidities in the range -2.4 to 2.4. Detailed studies of correlations between systematic uncertainties in transverse momentum and rapidity are presented, and the cross section measurements are found to be in good agreement with next-to-leading order QCD calculations.
Measured inclusive jet cross section as a function of jet transverse momentum for absolute values of the jet rapidity from 0.0 to 0.4 for cone radius R = 0.7.
Measured inclusive jet cross section as a function of jet transverse momentum for absolute values of the jet rapidity from 0.4 to 0.8 for cone radius R = 0.7.
Measured inclusive jet cross section as a function of jet transverse momentum for absolute values of the jet rapidity from 0.8 to 1.2 for cone radius R = 0.7.
Inclusive spectra of π − production for pp interactions are discussed at 69 GeV/ c both in the central and in the fragmentation region and are compared to data at lower and higher energies. The p T dependence of the invariant structure function is also analysed.

The asymmetry of π o and π + photoproduction from hydrogen has been measured. The π o -mesons were detected at 130° cms with E γ ranged from 0.9 to 1.65 GeV, and the π + -mesons at 40° cms with E γ ranged from 0.9 to 1.2 GeV. The results agree with model predictions of single pion photoproduction in the resonance region using fixed- t dispersion relations.
