We find an increase in ∑ ± production between E cm = 4 and 7 GeV which is consistent with charmed baryon production models. A search for the decay ∧ c − → ∑ ± π ± π − yields no significant peaks.

CROSS-SECTIONS FOR STRANGE PARTICLE PRODUCTION IN pi+ d INTERACTIONS AT 4-GeV/c

Nucl.Phys.B 145 (1978) 285-304, 1978.
Inspire Record 131111 DOI 10.17182/hepdata.34882

The production of strange particles in π + d interactions has been examined at 4 GeV/ c where no previous data exist. Careful attention has been given to the resolution of ambiguities and to corrections for losses in a total sample of about 22 000 events which have been used to determine channel cross sections. Where they can be checked, the cross sections fit well into the observed variation of existing cross sections at higher and at lower energies.

Total Cross-Section for Hadron Production by electron-Positron Annihilation Between 2.4-GeV and 5.0-GeV Center-Of-Mass Energy

Phys.Rev.Lett. 34 (1975) 764, 1975.
Inspire Record 100592 DOI 10.17182/hepdata.21227

The total cross section for hadron production by e+e− annihilation has been measured at center-of-mass energies between 2.4 and 5.0 GeV. Aside from the very narrow resonances ψ(3105) and ψ(3695), the cross section varies between 32 and 17 nb over this region with structure in the vicinity of 4.1 GeV.

Measurement of Differential Cross-Sections for Elastic K+ p Scattering in the Momentum Range 0.7-GeV/c to 1.9-GeV/c

Charles, B.J. ; Cowan, I.M. ; Edwards, T.R.M. ; et al.
Nucl.Phys.B 131 (1977) 7-53, 1977.
Inspire Record 126513 DOI 10.17182/hepdata.8361

Differential cross sections for elastic K + p scattering have been measured at nineteen momenta between 0.7 and 1.9 GeV/ c . The data represent between 10 thousand and 20 thousand elastic events at each momentum and cover a wide range of scattering angles ( −0.98 ≲ cos θ ∗ ≲ 0.95 ). A computer controlled system of scintillation counters and acoustic spark chambers was used to detect the elastic events. Various internal consistency checks indicate that the absolute normalization of the data is accurate to within 2–3%. The cross sections show a smooth transition from an isotropic angular distribution to a dominant forward peak over the range covered by the experiment. Phase-shift analyses including these results show little evidence for a direct-channel resonance, and fitting the results by t - and u -channel exchange processes alone gives a good fit.

ASYMMETRIES IN CHARGED PION PHOTOPRODUCTION ON NUCLEONS BY 16-GeV POLARIZED PHOTONS

Sherden, D. ; Siemann, R. ; Sinclair, Charles K. ; et al.
Phys.Rev.Lett. 30 (1973) 1230, 1973.
Inspire Record 81026 DOI 10.17182/hepdata.21357

Asymmetries in charged-pion photoproduction from hydrogen and deuterium have been measured with 16-GeV linearly polarized photons. Considerable energy dependence is seen in the natural-parity contribution to the π−π+ ratio from deuterium, and in the unnatural-parity part of the cross section for γn→π−p. The energy dependence of this latter cross section is consistent with the expected from a conventional pion Regge trajectory.

Quinn, D.J. ; Rutherfoord, J.P. ; Shupe, M.A. ; et al.

Using a 16-GeV linearly polarized photon beam, we have measured asymmetries in the process γN→K+(Λ+Σ) from hydrogen and deuterium, for square of four-momentum transfer, t, between -0.01 and -0.8 (GeV/c)2. The data show that for −t≳0.1 (GeV/c)2, the cross sections for γp→K+Λ, γp→K+Σ0, and γn→K+Σ− are strongly dominated by natural-parity exchange, as is the case in single-pion photoproduction.
