Measurements of the production inp-BeO collisions of charged baryons and antibaryons with strangeness between −3 and +3 at\(\sqrt s= 21.2GeV\)x=0.48, andpT=600MeV/c are reported. The experimental results can be interpreted within the framework of a simple proton fragmentation-recombination model.

We present proton-nucleus dimuon-production cross sections for masses between 4 and 15 GeV, center-of-mass rapidities between -0.23 and 0.6 and incident energies of 200, 300, and 400 GeV. The data confirm scaling to the 20% level. The dependence of continuum 〈pT〉 on beam energy is also presented.

Inclusive charged-current interactions of high-energy neutrinos and antineutrinos have been studied with high statistics in a counter experiment at the CERN Super Proton Synchrotron. The energy dependence of the total cross-sections, the longitudinal structure function, and the nucleon structure functionsF2,xF3, and\(\bar q^{\bar v} \) are determined from these data. The analysis of theQ2-dependence of the structure functions is used to test quantum chromodynamics, to determine the scale parameter Λ and the gluon distribution in the nucleon.
ABSOLUTE FLUXES HAVE NOT BEEN MEASURED. NORMALISED TO OLD RESULTS.
STUCTURE FUNCTIONS ARE EVALUATED ASSUMING R=SIG(L)/SIG(T)=0.1 AND M(W) IS INFINITE. NO CORRECTION FOR FERMI MOTION APPLIED. ERRORS ARE STATISTICAL AND SYSTEMATIC POINT-TO-POINT ERRORS. IN ADDITION OVER-ALL SCALE ERROR OF 6 PCT. FOR F2 , 8 PCT. FOR XF3.

Incoherent nuclear interactions of 21 GeV/c protons and 50 GeV/cπ−-mesons in emulsions exposed in a strong (180 kG) magnetic field have been investigated. The following topics are covered: the multiplicity of various types of charges secondaries, general features of one-particle rapidity and transverse momentum distributions, energy partitions among secondaries, characteristics of the leading particles and relativistic recoil protons, correlation relations. The experimental data are compared with predictions of current models of nuclear production.
