Electron-proton elastic-scattering cross sections have been measured at the Stanford Linear Accelerator Center for four-momentum transfers squared q 2 from 1.0 to 25.0 (GeVc)2. The electric (GEp) and magnetic (GMp) form factors of the proton were not separated, since angular distributions were not measured at each q 2. However, values for GMp were derived assuming various relations between GEp and GMp. Several theoretical models for the behavior of the proton magnetic form factor at high values of q 2 are compared with the data.

Study of the Inclusive Reactions $K^+ p \to p$ X and $K^+ p \to p K^0$ X at 32-{GeV}/$c$

Nucl.Phys.B 149 (1979) 189-210, 1979.
Inspire Record 132914 DOI 10.17182/hepdata.34832

The inclusive production of protons with laboratory momentum less than 1.2 GeV/ c is studied in the reacion K + p → pX at 32 GeV/ c . A comparison with the 16 GeV/ c data shows ahat the total cross section remains practically constant while the structure function shows a clear energy dependence. The data are compatible with a tripls-Regge expansion and with factorization. About 40% of the events include a K 0 in the final state. The analysis of the K 0 pX sample indicates a sizeable contribution of beam fragmentation and abundant K 890 ∗ and Δ ++ production.

Inclusive Production of Charged Pions in K- p Interactions at 32-GeV/c

The French-Soviet & CERN-Soviet collaborations Faccini, M.L. ; Barloutaud, R. ; Berard, A. ; et al.
Nucl.Phys.B 127 (1977) 109, 1977.
Inspire Record 119612 DOI 10.17182/hepdata.35284

Results are presented on the inclusive π ± production in K − p interactions at 32.1 GeV/ c . The invariant longitudinal distributions have been calculated both for π + and π − in the backward c.m. hemisphere and extrapolated in the forward hemisphere under some physical assumptions. The inclusive cross sections for π + and π − amount to 32.9 ± 1.5 mb and 35.0 ± 0.7 mb respectively. The energy dependence of the inclusive pion production has been analyzed in the framework of Mueller-Regge phenomenology both in the proton fragmentation and in the central region.

Inclusive Photoproduction of $\phi$, $K^*$ (890) and $K^*$ (1420) in the Photon Energy Range 20-{GeV} to 70-{GeV}

The Omega Photon collaboration Atkinson, M. ; Axon, T.J. ; Barberis, D. ; et al.
Z.Phys.C 30 (1986) 521, 1986.
Inspire Record 218609 DOI 10.17182/hepdata.15900

Inclusive photoproduction of ϕ,K*0(890),\(\bar K*^0 \) andK*0(1420),\(\bar K*^0 \) has been studied in γp collisions with photons of energy 20 to 70 GeV and in the range 0.1≦xF≦0.95 [0.4≦xF≦0.8 for the\(\mathop K\limits^{( - )} *\)(1420)],xF being the Feynman variable of the vector/tensor meson. The cross-sections for these processes, averaged over the photon energy range and integrated overxF are given. The inclusive ϕ production in the forward direction can be described quantitatively by a triple-Regge model calculation. The remaining ϕ production and the totalK*0(890) and\(\bar K*^0 \) production are consistent with a quark fusion picture.

CHARM PHOTOPRODUCTION AT 20-GeV

The SLAC Hybrid Facility Photon collaboration Abe, K. ; Bacon, T.C. ; Ballam, Joseph ; et al.
Phys.Rev.D 30 (1984) 1, 1984.
Inspire Record 194546 DOI 10.17182/hepdata.23639

Sixty-two charm events have been observed in an exposure of the SLAC Hybrid Facility toa backward sacttered laser beam. Based on 22 neutral and 21 charged decays we have measured the charmed-meson lifetimes to be τD0=(6.8−1.8+2.3)×10−13 sec, τD±=(7.4−2.0+2.3)×10−13 sec and their ratio τD±τD0=1.1−0.3+0.6. The inclusive charm cross section at a photon energy of 20 GeV has been measured to be 56−23+24 nb. Evidence is presented for a non-DD¯ component to charm production, consistent with (35±20)% Λc+ production and some D*± production. We have found no unambiguous F decays.

Inclusive Photoproduction of Neutral Strange Particles at 20-{GeV}

The SLAC Hybrid Facility Photon collaboration Abe, K. ; Bacon, T.C. ; Ballam, Joseph ; et al.
Phys.Rev.D 29 (1984) 1877, 1984.
Inspire Record 190724 DOI 10.17182/hepdata.23774

We have studied inclusive production of KS0, Λ, and Λ¯ particles in 20-GeV γp interactions and have found features similar to those observed in both hadronic and leptonic interactions. The production cross sections, charged-particle multiplicities, and average Λ polarization are reported. Inclusive distributions of x and pT are shown and discussed in terms of quark fragmentation models. Production cross sections for K*(890) and Σ*(1385) are also reported.

Inclusive Photoproduction of Strange Baryons at 20-{GeV}

The SLAC Hybrid Facility Photon collaboration Abe, K. ; Armenteros, R. ; Bacon, T.C. ; et al.
Phys.Rev.D 32 (1985) 2869-2882, 1985.
Inspire Record 213727 DOI 10.17182/hepdata.23548

Cross sections are presented for the inclusive photoproduction of KS0, Λ, Λ¯, Ξ−, Ξ¯−, Σ0, and Σ*±(1385) at 20 GeV. An upper limit to Ω− production is also given. The data come from 284 000 hadronic events photoproduced in the SLAC 1-m hydrogen-bubble-chamber hybrid facility exposed to a nearly monochromatic, polarized 20-GeV backscattered photon beam. A comparison of the KS0, Λ, Λ¯, and Ξ− rates per inelastic event to π±p data show that γp rates are consistent with being higher than the π±p rates, providing evidence of an ss¯ component of the photon. The pair cross sections for KS0KS0, KS0Λ, KSoΛ¯, and ΛΛ¯ are presented. The xF distributions of the Λ, Λ¯, and Ξ− are compared to a quark-diquark fusion model, giving information on strange-baryon photoproduction mechanisms.

Phys.Rev.Lett. 51 (1983) 156, 1983.

Forty-seven charm events have been observed in an exposure of the SLAC Hybrid Facility bubble chamber to a 20-GeV backward-scattered laser beam. Thirty-seven events survive all the necessary cuts imposed. Based on this number the total charm cross section is calculated to be 63−28+33 nb.
