Measurements are presented of the triple-differential cross section for inclusive isolated-photon+jet events in pp collisions at $\sqrt{s} =$ 8 TeV as a function of photon transverse momentum ($p_\mathrm{T}^\gamma$), photon pseudorapidity ($\eta^\gamma$), and jet pseudorapidity ($\eta^\text{jet}$). The data correspond to an integrated luminosity of 19.7 fb$^{-1}$ that probe a broad range of the available phase space, for $|\eta^\gamma|$ $<$ 1.44 and 1.57 $<$ $|\eta^\gamma|$ $<$ 2.50, $|\eta^\text{jet}|$ $<$ 2.5, 40 $<$ $p_\mathrm{T}^\gamma$ $<$ 1000 GeV, and jet transverse momentum, $p_\mathrm{T}^\text{jet}$, $>$ 25 GeV. The measurements are compared to next-to-leading order perturbative quantum chromodynamics calculations, which reproduce the data within uncertainties.

Inspire Record 2713513 DOI 10.17182/hepdata.144165

The first search for narrow resonances decaying to three well-separated hadronic jets is presented. The search uses proton-proton collision data corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 138 fb$^{-1}$ at $\sqrt{s}$ = 13 TeV, collected at the CERN LHC. No significant deviations from the background predictions are observed between 1.75-9.00 TeV. The results provide the first mass limits on a right-handed boson Z$_{\mathrm{R}}$ decaying to three gluons, an excited quark decaying via a vector boson to three quarks, as well as updated limits on a Kaluza-Klein gluon decaying via a radion to three gluons.

Inspire Record 1734235 DOI 10.17182/hepdata.89176

A search for the production of events containing three W bosons predicted by the standard model is reported. The search is based on a data sample of proton-proton collisions at a center-of-mass energy of 13 TeV recorded by the CMS experiment at the CERN LHC and corresponding to a total integrated luminosity of 35.9 fb$^{-1}$. The search is performed in final states with three leptons (electrons or muons), or with two same-charge leptons plus two jets. The observed (expected) significance of the signal for W$^\pm$W$^\pm$W$^\mp$ production is 0.60 (1.78) standard deviations, and the ratio of the measured signal yield to that expected from the standard model is 0.34 $^{+0.62}_{-0.34}$. Limits are placed on three anomalous quartic gauge couplings and on the production of massive axionlike particles.

Inspire Record 1876311 DOI 10.17182/hepdata.107754

The first measurements of diboson production cross sections in proton-proton interactions at a center-of-mass energy of 5.02 TeV are reported. They are based on data collected with the CMS detector at the LHC, corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 302 pb$^{-1}$. Events with two, three, or four charged light leptons (electrons or muons) in the final state are analyzed. The WW, WZ, and ZZ total cross sections are measured as $\sigma_\mathrm{WW} =$ 37.0 $^{+5.5}_{-5.2}$ (stat) $^{+2.7}_{-2.6}$ (syst) pb, $\sigma_\mathrm{WZ} =$ 6.4 $^{+2.5}_{-2.1}$ (stat) $^{+0.5}_{-0.3}$ (syst) pb, and $\sigma_\mathrm{ZZ} =$ 5.3 $^{+2.5}_{-2.1}$ (stat) $^{+0.5}_{-0.4}$ (syst) pb. All measurements are in good agreement with theoretical calculations at combined next-to-next-to-leading order quantum chromodynamics and next-to-leading order electroweak accuracy.

Search for a vector-like quark T$'$$\to$ tH via the diphoton decay mode of the Higgs boson in proton-proton collisions at $\sqrt{s}$ = 13 TeV

Inspire Record 2636335 DOI 10.17182/hepdata.134009

A search for the electroweak production of a vector-like quark T$'$, decaying to a top quark and a Higgs boson is presented. The search is based on a sample of proton-proton collision events recorded at the LHC at $\sqrt{s}$ = 13 TeV, corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 138 fb$^{-1}$. This is the first T$'$ search that exploits the Higgs boson decay to a pair of photons. For narrow isospin singlet T$'$ states with masses up to 1.1 TeV, the excellent diphoton invariant mass resolution of 1-2% results in an increased sensitivity compared to previous searches based on the same production mechanism. The electroweak production of a T$'$ quark with mass up to 960 GeV is excluded at 95% confidence level, assuming a coupling strength $\kappa_\mathrm{T}$ = 0.25 and a relative decay width $\Gamma/M_{\mathrm{T}'}$ $\lt$ 5%.
