The resonance parameters of the ϒ′(10.01) were measured using the LENA detector at the DORIS e + e − storage ring. We obtained a mass of M ( ϒ ′) = (10 013.6 ± 1.2 ± 10.0) MeV and an electronic width of Γ ee ( ϒ ′) = (0.53 ± 0.07 −0.05 +0.09 keV. The upper limit set to the μ-pair branching ratio is 3.8% which implies a lower limit on the total ϒ′ width of 14 keV. Together with out previous measurement of the ϒ parameters we obtain a mass difference M(ϒ′) − M(ϒ) = (552.0 ± 1.3 ± 10.0) MeV and Γ ee (ϒ′) Γ ee (ϒ) = 0.43 ± 0.07 −0.00 +0.05 .
We present cross sections for e+e−→hadrons, e+e−, and μ+μ− near 3095 MeV. The ψ(3095) resonance is established as having an assignment JPC=1−−. The mass is 3095 ±4 MeV. The partial width to electrons is Γe=4.8±0.6 keV and the total width Γ=69±15 keV. Total rates and interference measurements for the lepton channels are in accord with μ−e universality.
We report the first measurement of the ratio R=(σe+e−→hadrons)(σe+e−→μ+μ−) (with negligible τ-lepton contribution) at a center-of-mass energy s=13 GeV and s=17 GeV, from the just finished electron-positron colliding-beam facility PETRA. The detector, MARK-J, has an approximately 4π solid angle and measures γ, e, μ, and charged and neutral hadrons simultaneously. Our results yield R(s=17 GeV)=4.9±0.6 (statistical) ±0.7 (systematic error), and R(s=13 GeV)=4.6±0.5 (statistical) ±0.7 (systematic error). The ratio R(s=17 GeV)R(s=13 GeV) is 1.08±0.18.

The reaction e + e − → hadrons has been measured in the ϒ and ϒ′ region using the DASP detector at the DESY storage ring DORIS. The following final results are obtained: R had (9.5 GeV)=3.73±0.16±0.28, Γ ee ( ϒ )=(1.23 ± 0.08 ± 0.12) keV, B μμ ( ϒ )=(3.2±1.3±0.3)%, Γ ee Γ had Γ tot (ϒ′)=(0.55±0.11 ±0.06) keV , and M ( ϒ ′)− M ( ϒ )=(556 ±10) MeV.

A search for narrow resonances in e + e − annihilation at c.m. energies between 29.90 and 31.46 GeV provides no evidence for the existence of such states. The 90% confidence upper limit on the integrated resonance cross section is 38 nb MeV, significantly below the value expected for the lowest (t,t̄) bound state.

We report experimental results on the cross section for the reaction e + e − → hadrons as a function of the total c.m. energy in the range W = 1.42–3.09 GeV. The results, combined with those already existing below the charm threshold, clearly indicate a structure for R ( W ) = α ( e + e − → hadrons)/ α ( e + e − → μ + μ − ) in that energy region.
THE ENERGY RANGES OF THE NEW DATA AND THE PREVIOUS (REVISED) DATA OVERLAP BETWEEN 1.9 AND 2.0 GEV. RADIATIVE CORRECTIONS HAVE BEEN APPLIED TO ALL DATA. THIS CROSS SECTION EXCLUDES TWO-BODY FINAL STATES.
AVERAGE CHARGED AND NEUTRAL MULTIPLICITY. QUOTED ERRORS ARE STATISTICAL ONLY.
Results on e + e − annihilation into hadrons at c.m. energies between 22 and 31.6 GeV are presented. The data were accumulated with the PLUTO detector at PETRA. The events are dominantly of the two-jet type. The value of the relative hadronic cross section R =3.88 ± 0.22 along with the details of the sphericity and thrust distribution rule out an open (tt̄) channel (Q t = 2 3 ) below 30 GeV. The inclusive muon results support the above conclusion.
CROSS SECTIONS CORRECTED FOR BEAM-GAS SCATTERING BACKGROUND, INITIAL STATE RADIATION, TAU HEAVY LEPTON CONTRIBUTION AND TWO-PHOTON EVENTS.
New data for the reaction e + e − →ϒ(9.46) have been obtained using the DASP detector at the DORIS storage ring. The electronic width Γ ee is (1.5±0.4) keV. The branching ratio for the decay into muon pairs is (2.5 ± 2.1)%. Energy spectra for inclusive production of hadrons are given.
INVARIANT INCLUSIVE PRODUCTION CROSS SECTION E*D3(SIG)/DP**3 BOTH ON AND OFF THE UPSILON(9.46) RESONANCE. NO SIGNIFICANT DIFFERENCE IN EXPONENTIAL SLOPE AS A FUNCTION OF PARTICLE ENERGY E(P=3).
We report on the results of the study of e + e − collisions at the highest PETRA energy of √ s = 31.57 GeV, using the 4π sr, electromagnetic and calorimetric detector Mark J. Based on 88 hadron events, and an integrated luminosity of 243 nb −1 we obtain R = σ (e + e − → hadrons)/ σ (e + e − → μ + μ − ) = 4.0 ± 0.5 (statistical) ± 6 (systematic). The R value, the measured thrust distribution and average spherocity show no evidence for the production of new quark flavors.
CORRECTIONS FOR TWO-PHOTON PROCESSES, TAU HEAVY LEPTON PRODUCTION AND INITIAL STATE RADIATIVE CORRECTIONS HAVE BEEN APPLIED.
